In this contribution, an optimized ternary solvent (chlorobenzene:chloroform:1,8-diiodooctane, CB:CF:DIO) was used to fabricate the high-efficiency polymer solar cells (PSCs). To analyze the effect of ternary solvent on the performance of PSCs, the relation among the morphology of active layer, charge generation-recombination and device performance of PM6:IT-4F solar cells was studied. The results showed that the morphology (i.e., aggregation state of donor and acceptor, phase separation degree) of active layer could be optimized at the ratio of 0.8:0.2 (CB:CF). Besides, we found that charge generation, charge transfer and charge mobility were improved in the CB:CF (0.8:0.2) processed PM6:IT-4F solar cells, thereby the charge recombination process in this device could be reduced compared with other CB:CF ratios processed devices. As a result, a power conversion efficiency of 12.85% was obtained in the CB:CF (0.8:0.2) processed PM6:IT-4F device.
2D Dion-Jacobson (DJ) perovskites have attracted increasing attention in X-ray detection due to their improved charge transport properties relative to the common Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) counterparts, while maintaining commendable environmental stability. However, achieving scalable and high-throughput manufacturing of the high-performance DJ perovskite X-ray detectors presents a notable challenge. Here, we have employed a ternary-solvent-ink strategy to fabricate quasi-2D DJ perovskite films for X-ray detectors via the spray-coating process. Our results indicate that the incorporation of ionic liquid Methylammonium Acetate into the conventional binary solvent precursor, composed of N,N-Dimethylformamide and Dimethyl Sulfoxide, effectively impedes the formation of small n phases and concurrently suppresses the pinholes in the resulting DJ perovskite films, thus facilitating improved charge transport properties. Consequently, a large sensitivity of 4853 μC·Gyair−1·cm−2 and an ultralow detection limit down to 39 nGyair s-1 have been achieved in the devices under the self-powered mode, representing the best performing DJ perovskite film based X-ray detectors that operate without external bias. The results presented here signify a crucial advancement towards the scalable production of quasi-2D DJ perovskite X-ray detectors for high-performance X-ray detection applications in the future.
Chemical-physical biphasic absorbents significantly reduce CO 2 capture energy consumption. In this study, four tertiary amines were combined with monoethanolamine (MEA) and sulfolane to form ternary MEA/co-absorbent/sulfolane biphasic solutions for CO 2 capture. The co-absorbents used were N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), 1-Dimethylamino-2-propanol (DMIPA), 3-(Dimethylamino)-1,2-propanediol (DMAP), and 3-Diethylamino-1,2-propanediol (DEAP). The dynamic phase separation behavior and properties were examined, the absorption/desorption characteristics were analyzed, and the phase separation absorption mechanism was explored through 13 C Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy. Results showed that all four ternary solvents performed excellently, achieving high CO 2 loadings in the upper phases (3.09–3.41 mol/L), strong absorption and desorption efficiencies (over 92.5 % and 85 %, respectively), large cyclic loadings (above 2.67 mol/L), and reduced energy consumption (>45.81 % lower compared to 5 M MEA solution). The addition of tertiary amines improved the absorption performance of MEA/sulfolane solutions. Phase separation was influenced by amine solvent alkalinity and hydrophilicity, leading to the presence of sulfolane in both liquid phases and the selective distribution of MEA and tertiary amines. This research offers promising alternatives for efficient CO 2 capture and provides theoretical guidance on liquid-liquid phase separation absorption mechanisms.
