In this work, a novel dummy molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP/CS/Fe 3 O 4 ) was successfully prepared for the selective enrichment of flavonoids in Penthorum chinense Pursh. The molecularly imprinted polymer was synthesized on the surface of chitosan-modified Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles with naringenin as the dummy template and then it was used as a solid adsorbent for the analyte enrichment. Compared with structural analogues, the MIP/CS/Fe 3 O 4 presented quick binding kinetic behavior, satisfying selectivity and high adsorption capacity toward pinocembrin. The adsorption capacity and the imprinting factor of MIP/CS/Fe 3 O 4 could reach 8.56 mg·g −1 and 1.7, respectively. Finally, MIP/CS/Fe 3 O 4 was applied to enrich flavonoids in the crude extract from Penthorum chinense Pursh and 11 flavonoids were successfully detected, indicating the MIP/CS/Fe 3 O 4 was a promising adsorbent for separation and enrichment of flavonoids. Many favorable properties of the synthesized dummy molecularly imprinted polymer can also provide a new direction for the simultaneous enrichment of structural similarities.

In this study, a dual-dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer capable of simultaneous recognizing 8 fluoroquinolones and 8 sulfonamides was synthesized. Its recognition performance was investigated by comparing the 3D conformations of four dummy templates and the two classes of drugs based on computational simulation. Then a solid phase extraction column was prepared and optimized that was combined with ultra performance liquid chromatography for determination of the 16 drugs in pork and chicken. The column could be reused for at least eighty times, and it showed high absorbency capacities (34.9–74.2 μg) and high recoveries (92%–99%) to these drugs. The limits of detection of this method for the two classes of drugs in meat were in the range of 1.0–3.4 ng/g, and the recoveries from the standards fortified blank samples were in the range of 86.1%–109.4%. Therefore, this method could be used as a specific, sensitive and accurate method for determination of fluoroquinolones and sulfonamides in meat.

Ginkgo biloba extracts (GBE) is one of the most widely used natural drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, but how to remove ginkgolic acids (GAs) from extracts in a safe, efficient, and economical method is an urgent need. Combined with quantum chemistry theoretical calculations and surface molecular imprinting technology, an eco-friendly GAs molecularly imprinted polymer via dummy template molecules on silylated cellulose matrix (SCM-DMIP-GAs) has been developed to detoxify target GAs from GBE. The results of scanning electron microscope , Fourier transform infrared spectrum, X-ray diffraction, N 2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, thermogravimetry , and binding absorption experiments showed SCM-DMIP-GAs has homogeneous morphology, good selective adsorption performance, high absorption capacity and stable recyclability. Furthermore, as solid phase extraction adsorbent, SCM-DMIP-GAs displays an efficient detoxification effect (99.98 %) after once treatment. This study presents an economic, green, and efficient solution for pharmaceutical and medical fields in plant extracts detoxification.
