n-Si/PEDOT: PSS heterojunction solar cells are expected to be the alternative for photovoltaic technique for the potentially excellent power conversion efficiency and ease of processing. Herein, a multi-walled carbon nanotubes network coated with polydopamine (MWCNTs&PDA) was applied as an interlayer between silicon substrate and PEDOT:PSS film to enhance the performance of Si/PEDOT:PSS heterojunction device in this study. When the film was applied as an interlayer, the average reflectance of the device within the wavelength range 400–1000 nm dropped from 13.6 % to 8.33 %. The enhanced antireflection ability meant more photon-generated carriers were excited. The introduction of PDA reduced the contact angle from 84.5° to 47° on Si surface, and the minority carrier lifetime (τ) was 2.16 times increase. The high charge separation and improved junction effect of MWCNTs&PDA films incorporated between PEDOT:PSS and Si substrate result in advantageous networks of charge carriers, which is confirmed by the excellent open-circuit voltage (V oc ) 637 mV, short-circuit current density (J sc ) J sc 34.76 mA/cm 2 and fill factor (FF) 56.41 %. The power conversion efficiency improved to 12.49 % when the MWCNTs&PDA film was incorporated. The achievements of this study indicated that the MWCNTs coated with polydopamine as an interlayer is a promising material for excellent performance Si/PEDOT:PSS heterojunction solar devices.
A semitransparent organic solar cells (STOSCs) based on the PTB7-TH:PC 71 BM blended were obtained. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) and an average visible light transmission rate achieved 5.06% and 47.95%, respectively. For sufficiently absorption of the sunlight, the multi-terminal tandem solar cells (TSCs) were constructed. Three different structures of TSCs are constructed to adequately absorb the sunlight. One of them is the superposition of five same STOSCs, the PCE of TSCs obtains 10.83%. One is STOSCs as the top cell and the normal organic solar cells as the bottom cell; the PCE of TSCs obtains 9.90%. And the other one is STOSCs as the top cell and inorganic Cu 2 ZnSn(S,Se) 4 as the bottom cell; the PCE of TSCs obtains 11.29%, and the absorption wavelength range extends to 1200 nm with the antireflection film.

Silica is widely utilized in perovskite solar cells owing to its tunable refractive index, exceptional optical transparency, and chemical stability, which collectively enhance light-harvesting efficiency, minimize reflection loss, and optimize light field distribution. However, the insulating nature of SiO 2 impedes charge transport, posing a challenge to the concurrent realization of antireflection and electrical modulation within the device. In this work, an island-like silica coating (ISC) was fabricated on the surface of SnO 2 , enabling synergistic antireflection and passivation effects. This architecture not only elevates the visible light transmittance of the electron transport layer but also effectively passivates interfacial defects, improves the uniformity of perovskite films, facilitates the growth of perovskite grains, and thereby significantly enhances device performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the ISC boosts the performance of formamidinium-based perovskite solar cells: the short-circuit current density increases from 24.61 mA·cm -2 to 25.85 mA·cm -2 , and the power conversion efficiency rises from 22.49 % to 24.43 %. Moreover, unencapsulated devices retain 90 % of their initial PCE after 30 days of storage in ambient air (humidity: 20 %–30 %, temperature: 25 °C) and maintain 86 % of their initial efficiency following 500 h of continuous maximum power point tracking testing in N 2 atmosphere. The ISC developed in this study offers a novel strategy for mitigating optical and electrical losses in perovskite solar cells.
