Two-dimensional (2D) materials provides large surface area for H 2 O molecules adsorption and interaction, which has been utilized in humidity sensing and noninvasive monitoring of physiological events such as respiration. However, disadvantages including slow response or modest response hinder the accurate tracking of human breath. Hence, MXene , the new member of 2D material family with excellent hydrophilicity and tunable conductivity, has drawn much attention. In this work, the enhanced response of Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene to H 2 O molecules was achieved by onion-inspired assembling of Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene and chitosan-quercetin hybrid layer-by-layer. The chitosan-quercetin modified multilayers suppress the degradation of MXene in environment, exhibiting superior response (317 % at 90 % RH), ultrafast response (0.75 s), and long-term stability (more than 15 days). Integrated with a wireless flexible detecting tag, the multilayers realized wearable human respiration monitoring with robust, accurate tracking capacity, offering a facile and feasible method for versatile physiological monitoring based on humidity sensing.

Ensuring the accuracy of signal detection under repeated deformation is a challenge for flexible sensor reported in recent years, and achieving reliable adhension between the sensor and substrate is a key factor. Here, this article reported a highly adhesive flexible strain sensor based on ultra-violet adhesive filled by modified graphene and carbon black for wearable monitoring. This strain sensor with a typical resistive behavior shows gauge factor calculated at 0∼10% strain is 2.1. It exhibits short curing time (∼1 h), fast response (∼40 ms), excellent adhesive strength (4500 kPa), and adhesiveness to various bending surfaces. Furthermore, this strain sensor can be directly prepared on elastic columns and rubber gloves, and exhibits excellent performance in three-dimensional force detection and writing gesture recognition. The ability of adhesive conformability to arbitrary and complex surfaces shows that the strain sensor has broad application prospects in wearable devices .

To meet the application of the pressure sensors in various conditions, a high-performance piezoresistive/piezoelectric (IOF) sensor with a thermochromic function has been designed and fabricated in this work, which consists of a color-changing piezoelectric film (BP) and a piezoresistive layer (FPM) laminated together. Benefiting from the reaction between the color-former and the developer in a temperature-dependent co-solvent, the thermochromic function in the IOF sensor can be achieved, showing from blue at 30 °C to white at 150 °C. Moreover, by introducing Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 TiO 3 (BNT) piezoelectric material, the BP piezoelectric layer can provide 80 V output voltage, 1.398 V·kPa −1 sensitivity, and 30 ms response time, respectively. Electrical conductivity is imparted to the fabric through the introduction of MXene, and the FPM piezoresistive layer displays 0.835 kPa −1 sensitivity and 73 ms response time in a wide stress range of 0–300 kPa, respectively. When the IOF sensor is attracted to the human body and KN95 masks, it has good sensitivity to measure human behavior, breath airflow, and daily speaking signals, showing a promise to use in wearable monitoring. Summarily, the studied pressure sensor integrates the advantages of piezoresistive and piezoelectric sensors and may provide a new paradigm to develop multifunctional pressure sensors for wearable monitoring with temperature visualization.
