The demand for wearable display devices capable of real-time information collection is growing rapidly. Among them, electrophoretic display (EPD) shows features of ultra-low power consumption and high readability in sunlight, making them particularly suitable for wearable applications. However, due to high driving voltage and susceptibility to salt, few wearable EPD devices are reported so far. To address this, a stretchable EPD compatible with textiles is fabricated based on waterborne polyurethane. The device exhibits great performance to resist water and sweat, achieving a whiteness of 35 (Y in CIE XYZ) and a contrast ratio of 13.5 at a driving voltage of 30 V. Benefit from the device's excellent bistability and flexibility, there is no degrading to its optoelectronic performance after bending, twisting or stretching. For demonstration, an 8 × 8 matrix display is realized, showcasing that this process is suitable for wearable textile display applications.

Textile displays have emerged as a promising technology for wearable electronics, yet maintaining excellent display performance and durability in daily use remains a challenge. We present a highly flexible yarn-based electrophoretic display fiber (EPDF) for wearable textile displays, fabricated using a low-temperature solution process. The EPDFs feature a coaxial structure with a diameter of less than 500 μm, enabling seamless integration into fabrics while maintaining textiles’ lightweight and breathable properties. The EPDFs exhibit stable black and white states under driving, with potential for thermal management applications. A dual encapsulation layer provides protection against sweat and sebum, enhancing durability for daily use. These features make EPDFs a promising candidate for next-generation wearable textile displays. Graphical

Central Sleep Apnea (CSA) is characterized by respiratory pauses during sleep, posing risks like cardiovascular diseases, stroke and sudden death. The challenges in managing it arise from the current monitoring tools, which are often complicated and inaccurate. Furthermore, respiratory pauses leading to decreased blood oxygen can induce profuse sweating, further affecting accuracy. Herein, we have synthesized a bio-based, biocompatible and sweat-resistant polyurethane . By utilizing it as the matrix, we incorporated [BMIM] + [PF 6 ] − to fabricate a markedly sensitive dielectric material, termed i-DFPU. The fluorine groups in i-DFPU contributed to a trap-release effect for migratable ions, while the alkyl side chains provided smooth ion migration channels, endowing i-DFPU with exceptional sensitivity. In combination with a stress concentration layer and serpentine-shaped electrodes, the resultant iontronic skin exhibited a remarkable sensitivity up to 132.2 kPa −1 , operational stability and portability. Consequently, it could accurately monitor various respiratory states in CSA, potentially preventing complications such as sudden death.
