Implantable sensors normally require devices with excellent biocompatibility and flexibility as well as wireless communication. Silk fibroin (SF) is an ideal material for implantable electronic devices due to its natural biodegradability and biocompatibility. In this work, we prepared SF protein materials with different force/chemical properties through mesoscopic regulation, and realized full protein replacement from substrate to dielectric elastomer for implantable sensors, so as to achieve controlled complete degradation. In wireless tests simulating intracranial pressure, the SF-based all-protein sensor achieved a sensitivity up to 4.44 MHz/mmHg in the pressure range of 0–20 mmHg. In addition, the sensor is insensitive to temperature changes and tissue environments, and can work stably in simulated body fluids for a long time. This work provides a wireless passive, all-protein material solution for implantable pressure sensors. Keywords:silk fibroin;implantable;degradable;biocompatibility;wireless passive;pressure sensor

The innovative application of microwave transduction technology in the field of gas sensors make it possible to develop wireless passive room-temperature gas sensor integrated on wearable device . Herein, the ultra-narrowband microwave filter was designed as microwave transducer device, and the microwave sensing measurements were extended to reflected coefficient. Meanwhile, the SnO 2 /bionic porous (BP) carbon composites based thick film were deposited on the coupled line spacing blank surface via blade coating method. According to the SnO 2 nanoparticles were well distributed on BP carbon with abundant micro pores , the gas adsorption and desorption can be enhanced, and the sensor response signal base on microwave transduction was finally improved. Without the influence of temperature and humility, the proposed SnO 2 /BP carbon microwave gas sensor exhibited excellent NH 3 sensing behavior at room temperature including wide concentration range (10–200 ppm), relatively fast response and recovery rate, superior selectivity , as well as good reversibility and stability. More importantly, the dielectric constant of microwave sensor has been proved strongly correlation with injected ammonia concentration. This work further proves the feasibility and frontier of microwave transduction technology in gas sensor application .

Clear aligners offer aesthetic and comfort advantages in orthodontics, yet their ability to deliver effective forces relies heavily on empirical judgment or large-scale optical scanning, lacking real-time quantitative evaluation. Integrating pressure sensors into aligners is a promising solution, but challenges in miniaturization, multi-dimensional sensing, measurement accuracy, and biocompatibility hinder clinical application. Here, an all-in-one Orthodontic Force Acquisition System (OFAS) is presented that enables real-time, 3D force monitoring using a cross-shaped iontronic sensing array and an origami-inspired, wireless battery-free readout circuit miniaturized for single-tooth placement. The system employs a cross-linked polyelectrolyte with low creep and high repeatability, achieving 1.14% measurement accuracy. A 15-day in vivo study demonstrates that OFAS accurately captured dynamic force profiles with strong correlation to tooth displacement (R 2 > 0.99), confirming its feasibility for real-time, quantitative orthodontic force measurement and enabling timely treatment adjustments.

This paper introduces a wireless passive humidity sensor based on a molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) nanoflower and chitosan (CS) composite material, designed to address the limitations of traditional humidity sensors, including weak response, complex structure, and high cost, particularly in extreme humidity environments. The innovative MoS 2 /CS composite dielectric layer was developed by leveraging the high specific surface area and active sites of MoS 2 , in conjunction with the hydrophilicity and biocompatibility of CS. Experimental results demonstrate that an optimized composite material ratio (MoS 2 :CS = 1:20) yields an ultra-high sensitivity (660 kHz/%RH), faster response/recovery time (70 s/120 s), The device demonstrates a strong linear response within a humidity range of 40 %–60 %RH, evidenced by a linearity value of 0.98779. However, between the humidity range of 60 %–95 %RH, the resonant frequency exhibits a quintic relationship with humidity. In this range, the linearity R 2 value is 0.99656. and minimal hysteresis (approximately 3 %) across a broad humidity range (40 %–95 % RH). Furthermore, the chemical-physical synergistic adsorption mechanism of the composite material was elucidated using characterization methods such as FTIR, XPS, and SEM. Chemical adsorption (hydrogen bonding and coordination bonding) predominates at low humidity, while physical adsorption (swelling and interlayer hydration) is more prevalent at high humidity. The sensor offers several advantages, including low cost, long-term stability (no drift for 30 days), and environmental compatibility, thereby providing a high-performance solution for the Internet of Things and closed monitoring systems. This also expands the potential application of two-dimensional materials and biopolymers in the field of wireless sensing.
