Upon electrocatalysts being intertwined with lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) in lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries, the intricate relationship between the spatial landscape of electrocatalysts and the corresponding electrocatalytic performance necessitates elaborate elucidation. Consequently, leveraging specialized functions of different components and organizing their spatial arrangement culminate in the holistic integration of spatial–temporal specificity, facilitating both self-adaptive electrocatalyst reconstruction and self-tandem LiPSs conversion. Inspired by the responsiveness and molecular recognition in cell membranes, a pertinent morphological design paradigm is proposed, which features a universal core–shell structure with spatially heterogeneous components. Specifically, ionic Zn conducive to Li+ mobility and covalent Co conducive to LiPSs immobilization are conscripted to ameliorate LiPSs redox kinetics. By configuring their specific spatial organization within core–shell zeolite imidazolate frameworks, we elucidate the distinguished role of the spatial landscape of covalency–ionicity couplings in steering the pathway of temporal-specific active site reconstruction and manipulating the self-regulation of LiPSs distribution. Ascribed to the in situ reconstructed spatial landscape for self-tandem LiPSs conversion, wherein the Zn–N shell facilitates Li+ transport and the Co-(S)–Zn–(N) core contributes to bidirectional electrocatalysis of LiPSs, thus-derived Ah-level pouch cell maintains a stable cycling for 100 cycles at 1C. Additionally, with an electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio of 3.3 μL mg–1 and a negative-to-positive capacity ratio of approximately 1.5, a high energy density of up to 374 W h kgtotal–1 is achieved. These findings highlight the spatial architectures of components in the design of heterogeneous electrocatalysts for advanced Li–S batteries.

The development of a spatio-temporal coordination and multiple-cross detection platform is crucial for the highly accurate assay in complex sample or varied environments. In this study, a sensitive and accurate dual-mode self-powered electrochemical sensor (SPES) was constructed based on the Z-scheme heterojunction-promoted photo-assisted zinc-air battery (ZAB) and electrochromic (EC) technology for the multiple-cross quantitative analysis of gallic acid (GA). With AgBr/BiFeO 3 Z-scheme heterojunction as the photocathode, the photo-assisted ZAB functions as an energy collection and conversion device to realize the SPES with enhanced energy conversion efficiency. Furthermore, this platform enables the sensitive and selective detection of GA with the use of molecular imprinting technology. In detail, the presence of GA initiates its binding to the molecularly imprinted cavity, subsequently hindering electron transfer on the electrode surface. This not only reduces output power density but also hinders electron participation in the electrochromic reaction, leading to a color change. By combining the advantages of SPES and EC technology, this platform enables simultaneous collection and multiple cross-validation of electrochemical signals and visual signals, thereby enhancing detection accuracy. The limit of detection of SPES and EC was found to be 1.2 × 10 –10 M and 1.9 × 10 –10 M (S/N = 3), respectively. This research offers a new idea for the construction of a highly accurate dual-mode sensing platform with multiple-cross signals and convenient operation. Graphical

Addressing the clinical challenge of spatiotemporal coordination between vascularization and osteogenesis in bone repair, this study develops a composite scaffold system integrating piezoelectric stimulation and controlled drug release to achieve sequential regulation of angiogenesis-osteogenesis coupling. Combining piezoelectric barium titanate/nano-hydroxyapatite/polycaprolactone (BTO/nHA/PCL, BHP) with metformin (Met)-loaded GelMA (G@Met) hydrogels, the BHP/G@Met scaffolds are fabricated through dual-nozzle 3D printing. Material characterization confirms hierarchical porosity, stable piezoelectric output under ultrasound (US), and sustained drug release kinetics aligned with early-phase vascularization requirements. In vitro co-culture models demonstrate enhanced endothelial cell migration and tubular network formation during the initial 7d phase, followed by potent osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells at intermediate (14d) and terminal (21d) periods. Dual-animal models reveal superior bone regeneration with extensive neovascularization and osseous tissue infiltration. Transcriptome sequencing and network pharmacological analyses identify PI3K-AKT signaling as the central pathway for BHP/G@Met coordinating sequential angiogenesis-osteogenesis. By synergizing piezoelectric bioelectrical cues with spatiotemporal drug delivery, BHP/G@Met pioneers a chronologically adaptive strategy to match the spatial-temporal bone healing microenvironments, offering a paradigm for dynamic tissue regeneration.

The limited efficacy of cancer immunotherapy occurs due to the lack of spatiotemporal orchestration of adaptive immune response stimulation and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment modulation. Herein, we report a nanoplatform fabricated using a pH-sensitive triblock copolymer synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization enabling in situ tumor vaccination and tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) polarization. The nanocarrier itself can induce melanoma immunogenic cell death (ICD) via tertiary amines and thioethers concentrating on mitochondria to regulate metabolism in triggering endoplasmic reticulum stress and upregulating gasdermin D for pyroptosis as well as some features of ferroptosis and apoptosis. After the addition of ligand cyclic arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (cRGD) and mannose, the mixed nanocarrier with immune adjuvant resiquimod encapsulation can target B16F10 cells for in situ tumor vaccination and TAMs for M1 phenotype polarization. In vivo studies indicate that the mixed targeting nanoplatform elicits tumor ICD, dendritic cell maturation, TAM polarization, and cytotoxic T lymphocyte infiltration and inhibits melanoma volume growth. In combination with immune checkpoint blockade, the survival time of mice is markedly prolonged. This study provides a strategy for utilizing immunoactive materials in the innate and adaptive immune responses to augment cancer therapy.
