Herein, we report an efficient bottom-up approach to construct the carbon encapsulated CoP nanoarray-like architectures onto the nitrogen-doped Ti 3 C 2 MXene Pt-based catalyst (Pt–CoP@CNT NA/N–Ti 3 C 2 ) by employing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as the sacrificial template. Benefiting from the catalytic effect for metals into MOFs and synergistic effect of Ti 3 C 2 substrate, homogenous nanotubes nanoarray-like structure is obtained on Ti 3 C 2 nanosheet . The unique heteroatom-doped 3D connected structure endows the catalyst with distinct structural merits, such as the carbon and nitrogen-enriched structures, large specific surface areas and excellent conductivity, leading to the high dispersion of ultrafine metallic Pt and efficient electronic/mass transfer, contributing to more exposed active sites of Pt surface. The fabricated CoP and doped nitrogen especially for those lattice nitrogen derived from the pristine MOFs can present exceptional co-catalytic effect, resulting in obtaining strong anti-CO poisoning capacity for catalyst. Therefore, the ultrahigh catalytic activity of per Pt active site for methanol oxidation reaction can be preserved. Besides, owing to the strong stability of carrier, the catalyst delivers a reliable long-term stability during the test. This work gives new ideal for the design of novel cost-effective 3D Ti 3 C 2 -based nanomaterial catalyst with excellent catalytic activity for methanol oxidation.

Solar-driven photocatalytic hydrogen production is considered an effective strategy to mitigate the current energy and environmental challenges. Herein, a function heterostructure photocatalyst of 1D CdS nanorod rationally supported nitrogen-doped Ti3C2 MXene quantum dots (N-MQDs) is successfully constructed via the self-assembly strategy. Impressively, N-MQDs/CdS exhibits superior photocatalytic hydrogen production performance with an efficiency rate of 17094 μmol g–1 h–1, which is 14.79 times higher than pure CdS. The strong oxidizing performance of N-MQDs/CdS also presents an efficient activity for the photodegradation of phenol. The significant enhancement in performance is mainly due to the synergistic effect of the tight interfacial contact and matched energy levels between the highly conductive Ti3C2 MXene quantum dots and 1D CdS nanorod, which greatly accelerates the separation and transfer of photogenerated carriers. Regulating the energy band structure of photocatalysts via multifunctional MXene materials could hopefully motivate further interest in the reasonable design of MXene-semiconductor photocatalytic materials in energy and environmental applications.
In this work, a ratiometric fluorescence sensing platform was established to detect Cu 2+ and D-PA ( d -penicillamine) based on nitrogen-doped Ti 3 C 2 MXene quantum dots ( N -MODs) that was prepared via a simple hydrothermal method and exhibited strong fluorescent and photoluminescence performance as well as excellent stability. Since the oxidation reaction between o -phenylenediamine (OPD) and Cu 2+ induced the formation of 2,3-diaminophenazine (ox-OPD) which not only can emerge an emission peak at 570 nm, but also inhibit the fluorescence intensity of N -MQDs at 450 nm, a ratiometric reverse fluorescence sensor via fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) was designed to sensitively detect Cu 2+ , where N -MQDs acted as energy donor and ox-OPD as energy acceptor. More importantly, another considerably interesting phenomenon was that their catalytic oxidation reaction can be restrained in the presence of D-PA because of the coordination of Cu 2+ with D-PA, further triggering the obvious changes in ratio fluorescent signal and color, thus a ratiometric fluorescent sensor of determining D-PA was proposed also in this work. After optimizing various conditions, the ratiometric sensing platform showed rather low detection limits for Cu 2+ (3.0 nM) and D-PA (0.115 μM), coupled with excellent sensitivity and stability.
