Ag/CeO 2 catalyst is synthesized by hydrothermal method, which has been studied under the effects of different catalyst content, ash and Ag load through activity and characterization tests. Ag loading increases the catalytic activity of CeO 2 , and the peak combustion temperature of soot decreases by 74 °C. The catalytic effect of Ag/CeO 2 is affected by catalyst content, Ag load and ash content. The optimum mass ratio of soot/catalyst is 1/10, and 10 mass% is the saturation value of Ag loading at CeO 2 . Ash inhibits the promoting effect of Ag/CeO 2 in the oxidation process of soot. This study provides a theoretical basis for the industrial application of Ag/CeO 2 catalyst in gasoline engine and also provides a research idea for the low-temperature oxidation of soot.

In this study, catalyst particles (the main component is Al 2 O 3 –SiO 2 ) were removed from the fluid catalytic cracking slurry oil by adding a polyacrylamide flocculants (1200 μg/g) and a ammonium citrate aqueous solution weighting agent (10% by weight of the slurry oil) at 95 °C, and then settled for 18 h. The ash content which determined by the muffle stove was considered as a criteria for measuring the efficiency of sedimentation. The size and distribution of the catalyst particles, before and after sedimentation, were analyzed using a laser particle size analyzer and a light transmission microscope. The results showed that the removal efficiency could reach 95.12% when both the flocculants and weighting agent were added. However, either the flocculants or weighting agent applied individually could only obtain inferior removal efficiencies of 87.04% or 68.76%, respectively. It would be attributed to the synergistic effect between the two agents. Moreover, it was also found that the flocs were rapidly formed from original catalyst particles and the flocculants firstly. Then the weighting agent provided assistance for the sedimentation of the flocs, of which the process was identified as the control step. The sedimentation process established in the experiment might play a role in the industrial removal of catalyst particles from slurry oil in the future.
Honey quality is in relation to botanical origin, and physicochemical properties, elemental composition, and antioxidant activity have been used for assessment and identification of honeys. The goal of this study is to contribute to the general analysis of five unifloral honeys from Cocos nucifera L., Dalbergia benthami Prain, Bombax ceiba L., Castanea mollissima Bl., and mangrove in Hainan province, China. Our results revealed that B. ceiba honey had the highest pH (4.27), color (139.33 mm Pfund), ash content (1.03 g/100 g), and electrical conductivity (1312.00 μS/cm) in five unifloral honeys. Furthermore, B. ceiba honey also contained the highest levels of total phenolic content (75.54 mg GAE/100 g) and total flavonoid content (29.22 mg RE/100 g), as well as the strongest antioxidant activity (DPPH IC 50 value, 3.97 mg/mL; FRAP value, 6527.43 µmol TE/kg). Moreover, we revealed a considerable variation in element contents in honeys using ICP-MS, with potassium being the most predominant element. B. ceiba honey had the highest contents of K, Ca, Mg, and P, whereas the highest amount of Na was found in mangrove honey. Overall, our data indicated that B. ceiba honey deserves further research as a potential antioxidant agent.
