New Cu 2 O@TiO 2 core-shell microspheres were successfully prepared for the first time in this paper. The XRD, N 2 adsorption-desorption, SEM, TEM, EDX and XPS characterizations were utilized to investigate the physical and chemical properties. The liquid phase oxidation of naphthalene was also carried out to test their catalytic performance. The characterization results indicating that the Cu 2 O microspheres were firstly formed by hydrothermal treatment and the rutile TiO 2 coating on the surface would be formed by the hydrolysis of tetrabutyl titanate. The Cu 2 O@TiO 2 - 5.0 catalyst with the molar ratio of copper to titanium species as high as 5.0 has the largest surface area and maximum pore volume resulting from the integrated microspheres with rougher surface thickness of about 6.3 nm, and it showed higher catalytic performance in the liquid phase oxidation of naphthalene. Naphthalene conversion of 43.2%, 1, 4-naphthoquinone selectivity of 26.7% and phthalic anhydride selectivity of 53.4% can be obtained, and it only slightly decreased even after repeated use for 5 times. The method would provide a valuable theoretic reference for the hindrance of Cu 2 O rapid deactivation and the industrial application of the naphthalene oxidation to produce high valuable chemicals.

A novel silica gel (SG)-loaded copper ion catalyst, Cu–NH₂-SG, was synthesized using acetic copper-modified aminofunctionalized SG. The fabricated catalyst was characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TGA, N₂ adsorption–desorption, XPS, and ICP-OES. In the oxidation of tetralin using tert -butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as the oxidant, the Cu–NH₂-SG catalyst achieved a tetralin conversion rate of 94.64% and a selectivity of 90.10% for α-tetralone under optimized conditions. The catalyst is easy to separate and recycle, and it maintained high catalytic activity over three cycles of use. These results show that the catalyst has potential applications for green and sustainable development.
One-pot synthesis of polymerized methyl imidazole silver bromide (CH 3 C 6 H 5 AgBr) 6 Compound 1 was carried out by the reaction of methylimidazole, 1,2-dibromoethane, and Ag 2 O in tetrahydrofuran at 60°C for 2 h. Compound 1 was characterized by elemental analysis,

H nuclear magnetic resonance, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal cell parameters of Compound 1 are as follows: a = 8.916(4) Å, b = 17.655(9) Å, c = 9.024(4) Å, α = 90°, β = 103.621(7)°, γ = 90°, V = 1380.6(12) Å 3 , and Z = 4. The silver atoms in Compound 1 are pentacoordinated with three bromine atoms, one silver atom, and one nitrogen atom of methyl imidazole, and polymeric methyl imidazole silver bromide was formed based on this structure. The catalytic effects under optimized conditions were investigated in this study, and the results showed that Compound 1 possesses a strong catalytic effect on the oxidation of 2-methylnaphthalene with a conversion rate of 77.15% by using hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant at 80°C for 3 h. The catalytic mechanism was explored simultaneously.
