Hypercrosslinked polymers (HCPs) with synergistic effect of ether oxygen and phenolic hydroxyl groups was designed and fabricated for Cs + isolation in the salt lake system. The separation factors (S.F.)(Cs + /K + ) of the adsorbents were significantly increased through regulating the content of the ether oxygen group in the frameworks. The S.F. of PO-HCPs-6 was increased by nearly 5 times to an ultra-high value (S.F. = 57) compared with the Cs + adsorbents reported in the literature. Moreover, the mild and sufficient polymerization process endowed PO-HCPs-6 with an extremely fast kinetic adsorption rate. PO-HCPs-6 could quickly reach 90% of the equilibrium adsorption capacity in just 1 min . Finally, after 5 times adsorption–desorption experiments, the remarkable elution rate (>92%) and reusability adsorption capacity (>91%) of PO-HCPs-6 proved it has inspiring application potential for the Cs + isolation in the salt lake brine system.

Polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether (PEGDME) is proposed to incorporate into PTMSP fibers to prepare an electrospun fiber composite membrane (EFCM) to break the trade-off limit. The abundant ether-oxygen groups in PEGDME can enhance CO2 affinity, improving its selective permeation. Meanwhile, PEGDME has a similar chemical structure with the pore-filled polymer PEO, resulting in intensified interfacial affinity between PTMSP fibers and PEO. Moreover, the high permeability and continuous structure of PTMSP fibers can provide a fast transmission channel for CO2, leading to elevated CO2 permeability. The EFCM exhibits a dense and defect-free structure with fibers distributed uniformly in PEO. The CO2 separation performance increases with the increase in the PEGDME content, and EFCM-30 presents the best CO2/N2 selectivity of 45.46 and CO2 permeability of 753 Barrer, which are increased by 31.5 and 58.5%, respectively, in comparison with EFCM-0. This excellent performance exceeds the 2008 Robeson upper bound.

In this study, zwitterionic poly(ionic liquid)-based polymer electrolytes with a network structure are prepared by ultraviolet-irradiation radical polymerization of poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether acrylate (PEGMEA) and zwitterionic liquids, and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate is used as cross-linker. The cross-linked structure endows the electrolytes with high thermal stability and excellent dimensional stability. The abundant ether-oxygen group of PEGMEA provides sufficient sites for the transport of Li + and a high ionic conductivity of 0.20 × 10 −3 S cm −1 . The electrolyte shows a high lithium-ion transference number of 0.78, owing to the excellent dissociation ability of zwitterionic liquids towards lithium salts. The lithium symmetric battery can maintain a voltage polarization of 150 mV at 0.1 mA cm −2 over 600 h. The Li/LiFePO 4 battery shows a discharge capacity of 122 mAh g −1 , a capacity retention of 90.0% after 100 cycles, and an average Coulombic efficiency exceeding 99% at 0.1 C, demonstrating strong application potential in lithium-ion batteries.
