Organic silicone materials offer numerous benefits and hence hold significant potential in daily applications. However, poor flame-retardant properties may limit their use in the field of fire prevention. In this study, this problem was solved by designing a stable, facile, and effective fabrication method. A silane vinyl melamine/silicone foam (VTMO–APTES–PAA–MF/SI) with excellent flame-retardant properties was obtained through a step-by-step chemical surface modification method. Aminopropyl ethoxy silane (APTES) and vinyl methoxy silane (VTMO) provided cross-linking sites and formed a macromolecular network structure, thus improving the compatibility between the melamine foam (MF) and silicone material. As a result, VTMO–APTES—PAA–MF/SI exhibited a high limiting oxygen index and UL94 flame-retardant rating (31.1 vol%, V-0). Besides, compared with melamine/silicone foam (MF/SI), VTMO–APTES–PAA–MF/SI demonstrated better tensile strength and elongation at break.
Non-halogen ionic liquids are considered efficient catalyst for CO 2 conversion into cyclic carbonates. In this work, six carboxylic acid ionic liquids with different types and sizes of cations are designed and synthesized to systematically investigate the catalytic contribution of the non-halogen cation and anion for CO 2 conversion into cyclic carbonate. The result shows that the anion could improve the catalytic activity by improve the basicity of ionic liquids, and the cation that has a weak interaction with anion is more conducive for the reactivity. Further, the reaction mechanism is deeply studied by using the optimized [P 4444 ][IsoNic]: two reaction intermediates are captured by In-situ infrared, combined with DFT calculation, the anion directly inducing ring-opening mechanism is proposed. This work provides an in-depth understanding of catalytic contribution of non-halogen ionic liquids used in cycloaddition reaction.

Metal ion doping has been considered as one of the most effective methods to achieve highly efficient perovskite light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which is significant for future high-definition displays and high-quality lighting. However, its exact function is still uncertain because the doping of metal ions is also accompanied by the introduction of halide ions and halide-rich circumstances, which can enhance the optoelectronic properties as well. In this work, a zinc non-halide dopant strategy was employed to specifically study the effect of Zn2+ on CsPbI3 quantum dots (QDs). We confirmed that Zn2+ was doped into the perovskites interstitially via X-ray diffraction (XRD) and pair distribution function (PDF) analysis. Zn2+-doped CsPbI3 QDs exhibited higher emission properties with 120% enhancement in the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) compared with pristine CsPbI3 QDs. The Zn2+-doped CsPbI3 QD-based LEDs (QLEDs) showed nearly two-fold increase in the external quantum efficiency (EQE) versus the control device, and it improved from 7.5% to 14.6%. Besides, a maximum current efficiency of 0.83 cd A−1 and the highest luminance of 378 cd m−2 were achieved. These results certify that Zn2+ doping enables high-performance QLEDs without the introduction of halide ions, which is beneficial for the further research on doped perovskite fields and lays the foundation for the future practical applications of QLEDs.
