The fabrication of an S-scheme heterojunction represents a highly effective approach for achieving efficient and environmentally friendly artificial photosynthesis. In this study, a highly efficient S-scheme heterojunction was developed by modifying ZnIn 2 S 4 , a kind of chrysanumi-like flower, with a two-dimensional sheet of AgCoO 2 by physical grinding method, which realized H 2 generation and H 2 O 2 generation under visible light conditions. AgCoO 2 exhibits significant potential as a cocatalyst owing to its narrow band gap, black appearance, and robust stability. Because of the difference in Fermi levels, the two-dimensional AgCoO 2 and three-dimensional ZnIn 2 S 4 are closely fitted to accelerate the charge migration between the interfaces, thus improving the photocatalytic properties of the materials. In-depth investigations utilizing in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy alongside additional experimental methodologies have definitively illuminated the intricate charge partition and migration dynamics operative within the S-scheme heterojunction interface between the two catalysts. Photochemistry and photoluminescence spectroscopy further confirmed that the formation of heterojunction accelerated the migration of photogenerated charge carriers, and electron spin resonance provided further evidence for the active substances in the reaction. This study has made additional advancements in the development of efficient S-scheme heterojunction materials for driving photocatalytic water cleavage.
Searching for novel sensing material for highly sensitive nonenzymatic detection of glucose is important. In this paper, it is the first time that AgCoO 2 /MWCNTs was exploring as electrocatalyst for glucose oxidation. Structural characterizations reveal that AgCoO 2 and MWCNTs are interconnected with a three-dimensional porous structure, which leads to attractive electrocatalytic activity for glucose oxidation. The sensor based on AgCoO 2 /MWCNTs is found to exhibit excellent analytical performances for glucose with an extremely high sensitivity of 8214.3 μA mM −1 cm −2 and a wide linear range of four orders of magnitude. Such results indicate that AgCoO 2 /MWCNTs can be employed as a promising material for electrochemical sensing of glucose and also opens avenues for applications of AgCoO 2 in the fields of electrochemical sensing.

The Co-Ag x /TiO 2 catalysts with low mass content of Co and Ag were synthesized through the impregnation method and investigated for dimethyl oxalate (DMO) hydrogenation to methyl glycolate (MG). Remarkably, the Co-Ag 0.7 /TiO 2 catalyst with an Ag concentration of 0.7 wt%, exhibited an impressive yield of MG of ∼94.4 %, surpassing the yields of MG obtained with Co/TiO 2 (∼54 %) and Ag 0.7 /TiO 2 (∼69 %) catalysts. Various characterizations elucidated that the exceptional catalytic performance of Co-Ag 0.7 /TiO 2 can be ascribed to the synergy between Co and Ag, resulting in the formation of AgCoO 2 as high active site can improve the adsorption and activation of DMO and H 2 on catalyst surface. Additionally, the doping of a small amount of Ag regulated the contents of Lewis acidic and Brønsted acidic sites, leading to a high conversion of DMO and selectivity of MG. Furthermore, the excellent MG yield and long-term stability (at least 200 h) facilely obtained over our catalyst under mild reaction conditions guarantee a feasible prospect in the industrial application. This study not only unraveled the superior performance of the Co-Ag synergistic catalyst, but also carried significant implications for developing catalysts with low-content in DMO hydrogenation to MG.
