A handily self-powered photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor is established for acetamiprid (ACE) analysis supported by Cu 3 Mo 2 O 9 /Ag 2 S photoanode and Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 /BiOBr photocathode. The band gap structure of Cu 3 Mo 2 O 9 and Ag 2 S is matched which enhanced the electron transfer rate. Photocathode composite is synthesized at the interface of water and oil, and the resulting composite has good stability to water and light. Electrons flowing from the photoanode through the external circuit to the photocathode can combine with photogenerated holes of Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 /BiOBr, causing the photoelectrons pass into the solution and react with oxygen, and producing a large photocathode current. With the increase of ACE concentration, the detected photocurrent gradually decreased due to the steric hindrance, and a linear relationship between photocurrent and ACE concentration in the range of 0.001–500 nM. This excellent PEC sensor also performed the great detection stability, selectivity and reproducibility, which can also be applied in practical application for pesticides analysis.
Graphical Greener approach to toluene oxidation : Pb-free Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 @BiOBr perovskite quantum dots (QDs) are anchored on the surface of NH x -rich monodisperse silica (A−SiO 2 ) via N−Bi chemical bonding to isolate QDs from each other, thus enhancing surface passivation and suppressing optical decay. Additionally, the novel composites as photocatalysts are used to drive the oxidation of toluene and demonstrate astonishing conversion rates with high selectivity. All-inorganic metal halide perovskite quantum dots (QDs) have attracted attention from researchers with their fascinating optoelectronic properties. However, blue-emitting perovskite QDs typically have low photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY). For potential commercial applications, it is preferable to replace Pb with an element having low toxicity. Here, Pb-free Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 @BiOBr perovskite QDs were anchored on the surface of NH x -rich monodisperse silica (A−SiO 2 ) via N−Bi chemical bonding to isolate QDs from each other, thus enhancing efficient surface passivation and suppressing optical decay. Compared to unanchored QDs, Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 @BiOBr QDs/A−SiO 2 composites exhibited significantly enhanced blue emission performance, the PLQY of which increased from 16.62 % to 77.26 %, in addition to good water and environmental stability. Finally, the novel composites as photocatalysts were used to drive the oxidation of toluene, a template reaction of C(sp 3 )−H bond activation and demonstrated astonishing conversion rates (4317 μmol g −1 h −1 ) with high selectivity (around 87 %).
Exploring well-designed photocatalysts with high-quality interfaces for converting CO 2 into value-added chemical fuels faces a great challenge. Herein, a 2D/0D S-scheme heterojunction of Cs 3 Bi 2 Br 9 nanosheet/BiOBr nanocrystal (CBB/BOB) photocatalysts is designed and synthesized by an in-situ growth strategy for photocatalytic CO 2 reduction. The S-scheme heterojunctions with atomic-level intimate interfaces greatly accelerate the separation and transfer efficiency of photoinduced carriers and improve the reduction ability of photogenerated electrons resulting in prominent photocatalytic activity toward CO 2 photoreduction. Consequently, the environment-friendly hybrids show impressive photocatalytic CO 2 reduction efficiency and high CH 4 selectivity with a CH 4 yield and selectivity of 12.8 μmol g −1 h −1 and 79 %, respectively, which is 43 and 2 times higher than that of pristine CBB, respectively. The detailed experimental characterization and theoretical calculations indicate that the high adsorption/activation capability of CO 2 molecules and CO* intermediates and the lowered free energy of CO 2 reduction promote the photoconversion of CO 2 to CH 4 on the CBB/BOB heterojunctions. This work provides a new strategy for constructing perovskite-based photocatalysts for solar fuel applications.
