All-inorganic CsPbX 3 (X = Cl, Br, or I) perovskite thin films are attractive emissive layers for high-performance light-emitting diodes (LEDs) due to their precisely tunable bandgaps, excellent color purities, good stabilities, and solution processabilities. However, the fabrication of high-quality CsPbI 3− x Br x thin films is very challenging because the crystal growth of mixed halide CsPbI 3− x Br x is in low controllability. Herein, a synergetic regulation strategy using fluorine polymer (Poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)) and a small amino acid molecule (L-Arginine) is developed to fabricate high-quality CsPbI 3− x Br x thin films for efficient pure red perovskite LEDs. In the fabricated CsPbI 3− x Br x thin film, the fluorine polymer plays a crucial role in confining CsPbI 3− x Br x crystal size at the nanoscale and the small amino acid molecule acts as a passivation agent to reduce the trap-state density. Under this synergetic effect, a uniform CsPbI 3− x Br x thin film with a high photoluminescence quantum yield up to 40% can be obtained to fabricate an efficient pure red perovskite LED with a maximum external quantum efficiency of 4.5% and a maximum brightness of 3100 cd m −2 . The reported synergistic regulation strategy will open a new avenue to fabricate efficient pure color CsPbX 3 perovskite LEDs.

All-inorganic lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) are potential candidates for fabricating high-performance light-emitting diodes (LEDs) owing to their precisely tunable bandgaps, high photoluminescence (PL) efficiency, and excellent color purities. However, the performance of pure red (630–640 nm) all-inorganic perovskite LEDs is still limited by the halide segregation-induced instability of the electroluminescence (EL) of mixed halide CsPbI3-xBrx NCs. Herein, we report an effective approach to improving the EL stability of pure red all-inorganic CsPbI3-xBrx NC-based LEDs via the passivation of potassium bromide on NCs. By adding potassium oleate to the reaction system, we obtained potassium bromide surface-passivated (KBr-passivated) CsPbI3-xBrx NCs with pure red PL emission and a photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) exceeding 90%. We determine that most potassium ions present on the surface of NCs bind with bromide ions and thus demonstrate that potassium bromide surface passivation of NCs can both improve the PL stability and inhibit the halide segregation of NCs. Using KBr-passivated CsPbI3-xBrx NCs as an emitting layer, we fabricated stable and pure red perovskite LEDs with emission at 637 nm, showing a maximum brightness of 2671 cd m–2, maximum external quantum efficiency of 3.55%, and good EL stability. The proposed KBr-passivated NC strategy will open a new avenue for fabricating efficient, stable, and tunable pure color perovskite NC LEDs.

Uncontrolled crystallization and severe interfacial recombination stifle the lifespan and efficiency of all-inorganic CsPbI 3-x Brₓ perovskite solar cells. Therefore, this work introduces an aniline hydrochloride derivative additive, Benzenamine, N-[(2Z)-2-chloro-3-(phenylamino)-2-propen-1-ylidene]-, hydrochloride (BN), to improve the photoelectric performance and stability of the CsPbI 3-x Br x perovskite solar cells. The imine (C=N) groups coordinate with lead-related defects, the -NH 3 + groups form hydrogen bonds with halides, while the C Cl groups enhance lattice stability through electrostatic interactions. In addition, the aromatic skeleton in the BN molecule promotes ordered π-π stacking of molecules at the interface, which not only reduces surface energy but also constructs a hydrophobic protective layer. The optimized BN-based device achieved a maximum efficiency of 21.12%, significantly higher than the 17.27% of the control device. Furthermore, the optimized, unencapsulated device retained 95.6% of its initial efficiency after 1000 h of aging, demonstrating excellent environmental stability. This work validates the potential of aniline hydrochloride derivatives as highly efficient molecular modulators and provides a novel design approach for interface engineering in all-inorganic perovskite photovoltaic devices.

Cesium-based all-inorganic lead-halide perovskites CsPbX3 (X = I, Br, Cl) have emerged as highly promising optoelectronic materials with a wide bandgap, which are commonly utilized in tandem solar cells. However, the I–Br hybrid CsPbI3–xBrx perovskites still face stability issues such as halide segregation-induced phase transition and decomposition under ultraviolet or high-temperature conditions. We synthesize a series of single crystals DMAPbI3–xBrx (x = 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.3, 0.6), featuring an I–Br ordered distribution. By introducing the crystal intermediate into the perovskite precursor, we successfully obtained high-quality CsPbI3–xBrx thin films, exhibiting high stabilities and low trap state density. The formation kinetics of the high-quality perovskite thin films are in situ studied and the possible reaction mechanisms are proposed. Benefiting from this approach, the solar cells have an improved photoelectric conversion efficiency and significantly enhanced thermal stability. This method is proven to be feasible and innovatively offers a new strategy for the continuous development of mixed-halide perovskite solar cells.

Metal halide perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) have been recognized as emerging candidates for next-generation solution-processed electronic display technology, and great progress has been made in recent years. However, their poor operational stability is yet to be solved. Here, we present a reformative all-inorganic red-emission PeLED based on the passivation effect caused by the incorporation of zinc ions into perovskites for enhancing the efficiency and operational stability. A high-quality quasi-two-dimensional perovskite CsPbI3−xBrx thin film with good crystallinity is obtained, benefiting from the combination of large organic ammonium ions (PEA+ ions) and inorganic salt zinc iodide (ZnI2). As a result, ZnI2-passivated CsPbI3−xBrx PeLEDs emitting at 666 nm show a maximum external quantum efficiency of 9.93% and a maximum brightness of 4258 cd m−2. More importantly, the PeLEDs achieve a long half-lifetime of about 2667 h at an initial luminance of 100 cd m−2. This work provides a facile method to obtain stable and efficient red-emission PeLEDs.
