Nowadays, Mn-doping is considered as a promising dissolution for the heavy usage of toxic lead in CsPbX3perovskite material. Interestingly, Mn-doping also introduces an additional photoluminescence band, which is favorable to enrich the emission gamut of this cesium lead halide. Here, a solution spraying strategy was employed for the direct preparation of CsPbxMn1−x(Br,Cl)3film through MnCl2doping in host CsPbBr3material. The possible fabrication mechanism of the provided approach and the dependences of material properties on Mn-doping were investigated in detail. As the results shown, Pb was partially substituted by Mn as expected. With the ratio of PbBr2:MnCl2increasing from 3:0 to 1:1, the obtained film separately featured green, cyan, orange-red and pink-red emission, which was caused by the energy transferring process. Moreover, the combining energy of Cs, Pb, and Mn gradually red-shifted resulted from the formation of Cs-Cl, Pb-Cl and Mn-Br coordination bonding as MnCl2doping increased. In addition, the weight of short decay lifetime of prepared samples increased with the doping rising, which indicated a better exciton emission and less defect-related transition. The aiming of current work is to provide a new possibility for the facile preparation of Mn-doping CsPbX3film material.Keywords:MnCl2doping;CsPbxMn1−x(Br,Cl)3;thin films;solution spraying
Nowadays, an all-inorganic metal halide perovskite (CsPbX3, X = Cl, Br, and I) has shown excellent prospects in liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight device applications. However, in order to better meet the market’s development, the stability of CsPbX3 still remains an urgent problem to be solved. Herein, a heat-water cyclic process of CsPbBrI2 glass powder (RGP) designed to improve stability is proposed. Excitingly, the treated RGP shows better optical properties and heat resistance. Moreover, RGP@PS was prepared with high blue light, water, and heat stabilities. It is particularly noteworthy that RGP6@PS was continuously exposed for 268 h at 60 °C and 90% relative humidity in the blue light (447 nm, 880 W/m2) environment with no decrease in brightness. It illustrates that the CsPbX3 films have made an important breakthrough in stabilities. The LCD device based on RGP@CsPbBr3@PS was designed with a wider color gamut (126%) compared with NTSC 1953. This study explores a new strategy to improve the stability of CsPbX3 thin films for LCD light conversion films.
