Multifunctional flexible wearable electronic devices will become an important trend in the future development of intelligent electronics. Concurrently, researchers have also turned their attention to reducing the energy consumption of devices during system operation. Here, a flexible, stretchable plush fabric is first knitted by using core-spun yarn similar to the structure of polar bear fur as the raw material, with full rib stitch and weft inlay stitch as the fabric structure. Furthermore, the e-textiles are developed by direct in situ polymerization of polydopamine (PDA) and polypyrrole (PPy) to endow plush fabrics with electrical conductivity. Thanks to the increased contact area of yarn-to-yarn due to the fluff-like appearance and tight fabric construction, our e-textile has high electrical conductivity (1559 S/cm). On the one hand, the test power consumption is reduced, and on the other hand, the e-textile has excellent sensitivity (GF max = -1.75) and a broad sensing range (30%), making it ideal for monitoring the state of human motion and facilitating communication. Moreover, the e-textile excels in electrothermal conversion capabilities (up to 89.5 °C at 13 V), photothermal conversion efficiency (achieving 109 °C at 200 mW/cm 2 ), and scalable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding characteristics within the X-band (22 dB). Consequently, biomimetic design provides a viable pathway for the development of adaptable multifunctional wearable devices.

The single passive insulation and the high infrared emissivity inherent in most textile materials prevent aerogel fibers from meeting the insulation requirements under extremely cold conditions. To address these issues, we mimicked polar bear fur, and prepared core-shell structured aerogel fibers using wet spinning-polymer coating technology. The porous structure of the core layer endows the aerogel with excellent insulation performance. The incorporation of MXene—chosen for its low mid-infrared emissivity and photothermal properties—into the coating dramatically reduced the aerogel fibers' emissivity to human body radiation from 0.94 to 0.64, enabling a 2.0 °C radiative heating effect. Additionally, under 1 sun illumination, the surface temperature of the aerogel fibers increases by 32 °C. By introducing functional materials into the coating through a simple method, we have achieved aerogel fibers that integrate passive porous insulation, radiative heating, and active photothermal effects, without affecting the basic structure of the aerogel fibers, thus expanding their application scope in harsh environments.

The burgeoning emergence of drug-resistant Helicobacter pylori strains poses a significant challenge to the clinical success of eradication therapies and is primarily attributed to mutations within drug-targeting genes that lead to antibiotic resistance. This study investigated the effect of high salt conditions on the occurrence of drug-resistance mutations in H. pylori. We found that high salt condition significantly amplifies the frequency of drug resistance mutations in H. pylori. This can be chiefly attributed to our discovery indicating that high salt concentration results in elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, initiating DNA damage within H. pylori. Mechanistically, high salt condition suppresses lipopolysaccharide (LPS) synthesis gene expression, inducing alterations in the LPS structure and escalating outer membrane permeability. This disruption of LPS synthesis attenuates the expression and activity of SodB, facilitates increased ROS levels, and consequently increases the drug resistance mutation frequency. Impairing LPS synthesis engenders a reduction in intracellular iron levels, leading to diminished holo-Fur activity and increased apo-Fur activity, which represses the expression of SodB directly. Our findings suggest a correlation between high salt intake and the emergence of drug resistance in the human pathogen H. pylori, implying that dietary choices affect the risk of emergence of antimicrobial resistance.
