A three-dimensional UiO-67-BDA with various pore structures and abundant active binding sites is constructed, and Fe@UiO-67-BDA composites with electrochemical sensing and recognition performance were further prepared by successfully loading Fe 3+ ions. The different modified electrodes (Fe@UiO-67-BDA/GCE, UiO-67-BDA/GCE, Fe/GCE) and the bare electrode (GCE) were also characterized in terms of basic structure and electrochemistry, and it was found that the basic structure and electrochemical performances of Fe@UiO-67-BDA/GCE were better than those of the remaining three electrodes, with good selectivity, reproducibility and stability. And the Fe@UiO-67-BDA/GCE sensor with good electrochemical performance was constructed under the optimal working potential (E pa = 0.59 V) and experimental conditions, which was utilized to rapidly and accurately detect heavy metal ions Hg 2+ by the DPV method, with a detection limit of up to 1.642 × 10 −9 M. In addition, the electrochemical behavior mechanism of the Fe@UiO-67- BDA/GCE sensor was investigated. Finally, the sensor was applied to detect cosmetic heavy metal ions, and the experimental results also showed high reliability and practicality. Therefore, MOFs composite material is applied to the field of electrochemistry, because of its simple operation technology, fast detection speed and high sensitivity, so that it has a greater application prospect.

Due to the strong toxicity of heavy metal ions to public health and the environment, it is a great challenge to develop a method for ultra sensitive capture and determination of heavy metal ions effectively. Herein, a novel heterostructure composite (MIL-53(Fe)/Ag2CrO4, named MA(1:x)) was prepared by a simple method successfully. MA(1:x) modified GCE was applied to detect heavy metals ions simultaneously. Significantly, the designed MA(1:1)/GCE sensors performed outstanding detection performances. The wide ranges of 7.49 ∼ 320.00 μmol l−1 and 7.49 ∼ 320.04 μmol l−1 are obtained for Pb(II) and Cu(II) ions, respectively. The LOD of the MA(1:1)/GCE sensor was determined to be 27.40 nmol l−1 (5.68 ppb) for Pb(II) and 86.96 nmol l−1 (5.52 ppb) for Cu(II) ion simultaneously, which are lower than the allowable level of drinking water stipulated by the World Health Organization (WHO). Possible detection mechanism by the MA(1:1)/GCE was discussed. The MA(1:1)/GCE was successfully applied to monitor heavy metal ions locate in tap and river water. The recoveries are in the range of 93.86%–104.4%, which further proves the potential in analyzing real samples. Moreover, the MA(1:1)/GCE also showed excellent stability, selectivity, reproducibility. A novel method was provided to construct sensitive sensors for simultaneous analysis of different metal ions.

A two-step electropolymerization strategy was constructed to establish an electrochemical sensor method for sensitive and selective detection of betamethasone. First, a poly-(2-aminoterephthalic acid) (P(ATA)) layer, which can significantly enhance electronic conductivity, was synthesized on the surface of the bare electrode using electropolymerization. Subsequently, taurine (Tau), which is rich in sulphonate groups, was electropolymerized and introduced into the P(ATA) layer to obtain P(Tau)/P(ATA)/GCE. Then, the electropolymerization parameters and test conditions were optimized, including the concentration of polymerization solution, the scanning rate, the polymerization cycles, buffer pH and accumulation time. Characterization of the obtained electrodes done using scanning electron microscopy and several electrochemical characterization methods proved the successful preparation of the P(Tau)/P(ATA)/GCE. Electrochemical tests of betamethasone at different concentrations (0.2-25μg·mL-1) under optimal measurement conditions exhibited excellent linearity, good sensitivity. Compared with commonly employed HPLC method, the proposed sensor method was much fast, simple, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective. Compared with other sensor methods, P(Tau)/P(ATA)/GCE sensor exhibited good sensitivity and excellent stability. Moreover, the P(Tau)/P(ATA)/GCE sensor was successfully applied to quantitatively detect betamethasone in cosmetics, which provides a new method for the monitoring of illegal addition of glucocorticoids in cosmetics.

Abnormal purine metabolism can result in oxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction, heightening the risks for conditions such as gout and cardiovascular disorders, which may subsequently trigger various physiological dysfunctions. Thus, the rapid and sensitive detection of metabolic abnormalities in purines is crucial for the early diagnosis and prevention of related diseases. Zebrafish has emerged as a popular model organism in metabolic, genetic, and toxicological studies due to its high genetic similarity to humans and the transparency of its embryos, facilitating observation. In this study, we developed a novel electrochemical sensor based on m OMe-Ir-PI/MWCNTs@PDA/GCE to detect purine molecules sensitively. Using this method, we analyzed the electrochemical behavior of zebrafish embryos, correlating the electrochemical signals with X/G and HX/A. Investigating purine metabolism in zebrafish embryos across different developmental stages, we found that from the cleavage stage to the somite formation stage, the activity of degrading enzymes increased, leading to enhanced purine oxidative degradation and the activation of metabolic pathways. This resulted in a decline in purine content, observed as decreasing electrochemical signals. Conversely, from the somite formation stage to hatching, cell differentiation, tissue formation, and organ development accelerated, leading to an increase in purines involved in energy metabolism and biosynthesis, which was reflected in rising electrochemical signals. This study represents the first application of electrochemical methods for detecting purine metabolism in zebrafish embryos throughout various developmental stages, thus providing insights into the role of purine metabolism in early life development.
