Due to the low solubility of CsBr in organic solvents, the CsPbBr3film prepared by the multi-step method has holes and insufficient thickness, and the light absorption capacity and current density of the perovskite film hinder the further improvement in the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of CsPbBr3solar cells. In this study, we introduced InBr3into the PbBr2precursor solution and adjusted the concentration of PbBr2, successfully prepared PbBr2with a porous structure on the compact TiO2(c-TiO2) substrate to ensure that it fully reacted with CsBr, and obtained the planar carbon-based CsPbBr3solar cells with high-quality perovskite film. The results reveal that the porous PbBr2structure and the increasing PbBr2concentration are beneficial to increase the thickness of the CsPbBr3films, optimize the surface morphology, and significantly enhance the light absorption capacity. Finally, the PCE of the CsPbBr3solar cells obtained after conditions optimization was 5.76%.
Owing to their environmentally friendly characteristic, InP-based quantum dots (QDs) show great potential in various fields as an alternative to Cd-based QDs. However, the current mainstream synthesis process, the (TMS)3P-based injection method, still faces many challenges, such as the high cost of (TMS)3P and complex temperature control. In contrast, the solvothermal method is considered to be more feasible and reproducible. Despite its potential advantages, little has been done to understand how the precursors influence the synthesis of InP QDs using the solvothermal method. In this research, InZnP/ZnS QDs were synthesized using practical phosphorus precursors (DEA)3P or (DMA)3P. Through the feasible regulation of zinc, indium, phosphorus and sulfur precursors, the band gap of the QDs could be widely and accurately tuned, and a much wider photoluminescence wavelength ranging from 484 nm to 651 nm could be achieved. Furthermore, InI3 and InBr3 contributed to the blueshift in the PL wavelengths, and the combination of (DEA)3P, (DMA)3P, n-DDT and t-DDT refined the PL wavelength with a small tuning gap of 5 nm.

One big obstacle for a redox mediator (RM)-based Li–O 2 system is the redox shuttling between the diffusible RM + and Li anode, leading to the unexpected RM degradation and continuous deterioration of Li anode, which inevitably results in a low energy efficiency and a poor cycling stability for the Li–O 2 battery. Here, InBr 3 as a self-defensed RM is firstly introduced into Li–O 2 batteries, which can lower the cell overpotential and thus improve the cycling performance. Moreover, due to the In 3+ existence, an In-rich composite protective layer can be in situ generated on the Li anode, which contributes to suppressing the redox shuttling, improving the interface stability of Li and electrolyte, and inhibiting the dendrite formation. This work gives an insight into the development of self-defensed RM and the protection of the Li anode for Li–O 2 batteries.
