Mn 4+ -doped double-perovskite LaTiSbO 6 (LTS) phosphors were fabricated via traditional high-temperature sintering reaction. The crystal structure, composition , and luminescent properties of the LTS:Mn 4+ phosphors were studied. The PLE spectrum presents two broad bands that are centered at 356 and 475 nm, and they match the UV and blue chips. A broad emission band that is centered at 685 nm is presented in the PL spectrum. The quantum efficiency is 21.3%. A red light LED device was also fabricated with LTS:0.007Mn 4+ phosphor and an InGaN chip (465 nm). The CCT, CRI, and luminous efficiency of the LED are 4215 K, 73.4, and 62.1 Im/W, respectively. The LED spectrum meets the needs of plant growth in blue and red light. Therefore, the LED fabricated by LTS:Mn 4+ phosphor is a potential light source for plant growth.
Red light-emitting phosphors are important to the field of plant lighting. Therefore, it is necessary to further optimize phosphor materials. Herein, we synthesized a sequence of phosphor LaTiSbO 6 :Mn 4+ (LTS:Mn 4+ ). Due to the 2 E to 4 A 2 transition, LTS:Mn 4+ phosphors can emit red light in the range of 620–780 nm, with an emission peak at 687 nm. Chemical unit cosubstitution (substituting W 6+ - Al 3+ /W 6+ - Ga 3+ for Ti 4+ - Sb 5+ ) was used as a method to enhance the luminescence properties of LTS:Mn 4+ . When the substitution ratio of W 6+ - Ga 3+ and W 6+ - Al 3+ reached 0.1% and 0.75%, respectively, the luminescence intensity increased to 204% and 182%. Using the LTS:Mn 4+ , W 6+ , Ga 3+ phosphor and a 470 nm blue chip to fabricate a pc-LED device, the electroluminescence (EL) spectrum is well matched with the phytochrome absorption range. Therefore, the LTS:Mn 4+ phosphor will be very promising for plant growth.
