Mai-Luo-Shu-Tong pill is an effective traditional Chinese medicine formula for the treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis, but it was insufficiently chemically scrutinized. In this study, the mass spectral data of Mai-Luo-Shu-Tong pill were acquired by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with Q Exactive hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap high resolution mass spectrometry. Then, a data mining strategy combining multiple data processing methods was used to identify chemical constituents in Mai-Luo-Shu-Tong pill by constructing a database of precursor ions and summarizing the mass spectral fragmentation behaviors. As a result, a total of 211 compounds including 70 flavonoids, 56 terpenoids, 37 phenolic acids and 48 others were identified in positive and negative ion modes. Among them, 66 compounds have passed comparison verification with reference standards, 145 compounds were identified based on the data mining strategy combining the characteristic cleavage behaviour of homologous compounds and fragment ions and 4 compounds were potentially new compounds. This study provides a database for quality evaluation and further study of Mai-Luo-Shu-Tong pill in vivo. Moreover, it provides a reference for the characterization of the chemical constituents of other traditional Chinese medicine formulae.

Due to the hydrophilicity and black-phase instability of FA perovskites, ambient humidity is an unavoidable issue in the processing of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). MACl is among the most popular additives for improving perovskite films, but our experiments confirm that the direct addition of MACl into the precursor solution deteriorates the stability of the final α-FAPbI3 films in humid air, which is attributed to the unwanted pinholes induced by MACl volatilization. To solve this problem, a novel confined-space annealing strategy (CSA) is intentionally developed to control the amount of MACl at a low level. Through retarding the volatilization of MACl and blocking moisture ingress, dense and δ-phase-free FAPbI3 films with excellent crystallinity and stability are achieved at 100 °C under high humidity (RH: 60 ± 10%). We further compare the same amounts of MAI and FACl additives with MACl, discovering that only when MA and Cl work together can pure α-FAPbI3 films be obtained; therefore, a mechanism of MA-assisted nucleation and Cl-induced diffusion recrystallization is inferred. As a result, the PSCs employing optimal films yield a champion power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.27% and retain over 90% of the initial PCE after exposure to high humidity for 480 h. Our results offer deep insights into the thermodynamic and kinetic behaviors of MA and Cl in film growth and are beneficial for air-processed FA-based PSCs for commercial application.

Background Impaired healing of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) is a major clinical challenge. This condition is driven by unresolved inflammation and cellular dysfunction. However, the specific role of macrophage ferroptosis in this process remains poorly defined. Purpose This study aimed to investigate the contribution of macrophage ferroptosis to DFU pathogenesis. We also evaluated the therapeutic effect and underlying mechanism of the Ruan Jian Qing Mai formula (RJQM). Our investigation focused on the NINJ1–ferroptosis–inflammation axis and its role in intercellular communication. Methods We combined single-cell RNA sequencing of human wound tissues with a streptozotocin-induced diabetic mouse model. The chemical composition of RJQM was characterized by HPLC-MS. For in vitro experiments, we used macrophages stimulated with high glucose and LPS to model diabetic conditions. Key markers for ferroptosis, inflammation, and signaling pathways were assessed using Western blot, qPCR, and flow cytometry. Finally, endothelial cell behavior was evaluated through migration and tube formation assays. Results Our analysis revealed that macrophages exhibited the highest ferroptosis activity in diabetic wounds. In diabetic mice, RJQM treatment accelerated wound healing in a ferroptosis-dependent manner. We identified 87 compounds in RJQM. These compounds effectively suppressed ferroptosis by enhancing GPX4/xCT expression while reducing lipid peroxidation and iron overload. Mechanistically, RJQM inhibited a positive feedback loop involving NINJ1 and ferroptosis, and also suppressed downstream STAT3 activation. Furthermore, conditioned media from RJQM-treated macrophages promoted endothelial migration and tube formation. This pro-angiogenic effect was reversed by NINJ1 overexpression, confirming its critical role. Conclusion RJQM promotes diabetic wound repair by targeting the NINJ1–STAT3–ferroptosis pathway in macrophages. This action reduces inflammation and restores the cells' pro-angiogenic functions. Our findings support RJQM as a promising therapeutic strategy for DFU.

Background: The “Ruan Jian Qing Mai (RJQM) recipe” is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which has been found to have significant curative effects on diabetic ulcers in the clinic for a long time. Previous research has shown that RJQM can improve diabetic skin wound healing
and promote angiogenesis. However, the active ingredients of the RJQM recipe and its pharmacological mechanism of treatment for diabetic skin wound healing still remain unclear. This study aims to investigate the effect of the RJQM recipe on diabetic wound healing, and to identify the possible
active ingredients and their mechanism. Methods: First, a skin injury model was established in diabetic mice, and wound healing was evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), and western blot analysis. Second,
the chemical constituents of the RJQM recipe were analyzed and identified by ultra pressure liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS). Finally, the possible targets of drug treatment for diabetic skin injury were analyzed by network pharmacology and verified by in vitro experiments
using cell culture. Results: (1) In the full-thickness skin injury model, the skin wound healing rate and healing area were significantly increased in mice treated with the RJQM recipe compared with those of the model group. The results of immunofluorescence staining showed that the RJQM
recipe could increase the expression of VEGF protein and promote the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and the formation of microvessels, and RT-qPCR results found that the mRNA expression of angiogenesis-related factors in the RJQM recipe group was significantly higher than that
in the model group. (2) A total of 25 compounds were identified by UPLC-MS. (3) According to the results of network pharmacology, the therapeutic effect of the RJQM recipe on diabetic skin injury may be related to S6 (quercetin), S1 (typhaneoside), S18 (isoliquiritigenin), protein kinase B-α
(Akt1), phosphoinositide-3-kinase regulatory subunit 1 (PIK3R1), insulin-like growth factor I receptor (IGF1R), vascular endothelial growth factor-a (VEGF-a), signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (STAT3) and phosphoinositide 3-kinase-protein kinase B (PI3K-Akt) signaling pathways.
Based on the predictions by network pharmacology, we proved that the drug could treat diabetic skin damage by activating the PI3K-Akt-VEGF signaling pathway. Conclusion: The RJQM recipe promotes the formation of granulation tissue during the process of wound healing and exerts a good
therapeutic effect on diabetic skin wound healing.

Enhancing the power conversion efficiency of solar cells requires effective utilization of the full solar spectrum. In this work, we develop PbS/MAPbI 3 core-shell nanorod arrays that integrate the light-trapping and directional charge-transport benefits of nanorod architectures with the strong visible-light absorption of perovskites and the near-infrared response of PbS quantum dots (QDs). A key challenge lies in mitigating heterointerface defects, which we address by passivating the PbS QD surface with methylammonium iodide (MAI)—a strategy that simultaneously reduces surface defects and modulates perovskite crystallization. We identify the concentration of MAI-passivated PbS QDs as a critical parameter governing interfacial morphology, which in turn determines perovskite film quality, defect density, and charge dynamics. Systematic optimization over a concentration range of 40-100 mg/mL reveals that a concentration of 60 mg/mL yields a uniform and continuous QD interlayer. This optimal interlayer promotes high-quality MAPbI 3 growth, reduces defect density, and effectively suppresses non-radiative recombination—as confirmed by the minimized Urbach energy (0.102 eV) and maximized recombination resistance (20646 Ω). The champion device achieves a power conversion efficiency of 9.09%, with concurrent enhancements in open-circuit voltage and fill factor. Collectively, these results establish a clear relationship between processing conditions, interfacial structure, and device performance in core-shell nanorod solar cells, while elucidating how QD layer morphology governs perovskite crystallization and interfacial carrier dynamics.
