Rapid analysis of salivary glucose content using MOF/MIPs biomimetic microfluidic paper chips
Rapid and accurate glucose monitoring is extremely crucial for the health management of diabetic patients. Whereas the non-invasive detection of salivary glucose is promising alternative. In this study, a newly designed MOF/MIPs paper-based microfluidic biomimetic chip (MM-SGM-chips) was successfully constructed based on boron-affinity orientation surface imprinting strategy. The obtained chips demonstrated high adsorption capability (Q e = 213.40 mg·g −1 ), excellent selectivity (IF = 3.7), speedy detection (less than 30 min), and satisfied anti-interference ability for glucose. Moreover, the MM-SGM-chips could be capable of rapid and sensitive quantification of glucose level ranged from 0.1-3.2 mM through visual detection, with a limit of detection as low as 0.02 mM. Furthermore, the real clinical samples in daily period were collected for validating its correlation with serum glucose level. Present works demonstrated the promising potentiality of MM-SGM-chips for home self-test and even point-of-care testing clinical applications.
