Graphene oxide (GO)-based nanofiltration membranes, featuring well-ordered microscopic structure, well-defined 2D nanochannels and superior molecular sieving ability, have attracted sustained research interest in molecular and ionic separation. However, most of current GO laminar membrane have a poor water flux and high rejection of both dyes and salts, which is not suitable for the dye/salt mixture separation. Herein, we report a vacuum filtration strategy to fabricate GO/NH 2 -Fe 3 O 4 nanofiltration membranes with high water flux and excellent separation performance for dye/salts mixture by introducing NH 2 -Fe 3 O 4 . The NH 2 -Fe 3 O 4 is not only worked as the rigid spherical nanospacer to tune GO interlayer spacing but also as crosslinkers to improve the stability of GO membrane in water. FTIR, XRD , SEM , zeta potential and contact angle were applied to analyze the chemical composition and morphology of as-prepared membranes. The effect of intercalated NH 2 -Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles on overall performance of the GO/NH 2 -Fe 3 O 4 membranes was systematically investigated. The resulted membrane with 8 wt% of NH 2 -Fe 3 O 4 loading has high water flux of up to 78 Lm − 2 h − 1 , which is 4.8 times higher than that of pure GO membrane. Moreover, such membrane also displays high congo red rejection (94%) and low NaCl rejection (~15%), rendering the membranes promising for dye/salt mixtures separation.

The magnetic-luminescent bifunctional nanospheres NH 2 –Fe 3 O 4 /HMDA[Eu(DBM) 4 ] were prepared by coating the amino-functionalized Fe 3 O 4 nanospheres with HMDA[Eu(DBM) 4 ]. The X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of the bifunctional nanospheres were characterized. Molecular simulations of the adsorption configurations of the NH 2 –Fe 3 O 4 /HMDA[Eu(DBM) 4 ] were performed. The photoluminescence and magnetic properties of the nanospheres were investigated. Magnetic particle inspection utilizing NH 2 –Fe 3 O 4 /HMDA[Eu(DBM) 4 ] nanospheres was carried out to detect cracks on the coupling surface. The magnetic field at the defects of the component under the magnetic field was simulated and analyzed. Furthermore, simulations and analyses were performed to examine the magnetic field distribution at the cracks under an applied magnetic field. The magnetic-luminescent bifunctional nanospheres NH 2 –Fe 3 O 4 /HMDA[Eu(DBM) 4 ] show great promise for widespread application in magnetic particle inspection due to their high visibility under ultraviolet light and controllability in the presence of magnetic fields.

Developing a simple and effective method for measuring carbaryl residues in food is urgent due to its widespread use and the associated health risks in agriculture, as well as various defects in existing detection techniques. The COF (TpPa-NH2)@Fe3O4nanocomposite (amino modification) was synthesized via a two-step method and used as an adsorbent for the extraction of carbaryl from food samples in this study. The results indicated that COF (TpPa-NH2)@Fe3O4can rapidly and successfully capture carbaryl directly from samples via π–π stacking and hydrophobic interactions, achieving maximum adsorption within 5 min under a small adsorbent quantity using a fluorescence spectrophotometer. Under the optimized conditions, carbaryl exhibited good linearity in the range of 0.2–120 µg·kg−1, and the limit of detection was 0.012 µg·kg−1. The recoveries of the samples were 96.0–107.4%. This method has broad application prospects for the monitoring of carbaryl in food. Keywords:magnetic solid-phase extraction;COF (TpPa-NH2)@Fe3O4nanocomposite;fluorescence spectroscopy;carbaryl;food samples

Amine-modified magnetite (NH2–Fe3O4)/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrodes (NH2–Fe3O4/RGO/GCEs) were developed for the sensitive detection of dopamine (DA). The NH2-Fe3O4/RGO/GCEs were fabricated using a drop-casting method followed by an electrochemical reduction process. The surface morphologies, microstructure and chemical compositions of the NH2–Fe3O4nanoparticles (NPs), reduced graphene oxide (RGO) sheets and NH2–Fe3O4/RGO nanocomposites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The electrochemical behaviors of DA on the bare and modified GCEs were investigated in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) by cyclic voltammetry (CV). Compared with bare electrode and RGO/GCE, the oxidation peak current (ipa) on the NH2–Fe3O4/RGO/GCE increase significantly, owing to the synergistic effect between NH2–Fe3O4NPs and RGO sheets. The oxidation peak currents (ipa) increase linearly with the concentrations of DA in the range of 1 × 10−8mol/L – 1 × 10−7mol/L, 1 × 10−7mol/L – 1 × 10−6mol/L and 1 × 10−6mol/L – 1 × 10−5mol/L. The detection limit is (4.0 ± 0.36) ×10−9mol/L (S/N= 3). Moreover, the response peak currents of DA were hardly interfered with the coexistence of ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA). The proposed NH2–Fe3O4/RGO/GCE is successfully applied to the detection of dopamine hydrochloride injections with satisfactory results. Together with low cost, facile operation, good selectivity and high sensitivity, the NH2–Fe3O4/RGO/GCEs have tremendous prospects for the detection of DA in various real samples.Keywords:NH2–Fe3O4nanoparticles;reduced graphene oxide;modified electrode;dopamine;electrochemical oxidation

A fast, simple and effective method was developed and validated for determination of 11 fungicides using magnetic solid-phase extraction with NH2-Fe3O4@GO (graphene oxide) combined with gas chromatography–triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC–MS/MS). To carry out the extraction of the fungicides from samples, NH2-Fe3O4@GO nanocomposites were synthesized and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The target analytes were extracted on NH2-Fe3O4@GO and then eluted by ethyl acetate and acetonitrile (1:1 v/v). Finally, the extraction solvent concentrated by nitrogen blowing was analyzed by GC–MS/MS, which demonstrated good linearity between 0.05 and 5.0 mg L−1. The limits of detection (signal-to-noise ratio = 3) and the limits of quantification (signal-to-noise ratio = 10) for the 11 fungicides ranged from 1.0 to 3.5 and 3.0 to 10.5 μg kg−1, respectively. The accuracy and precision of the proposed method were evaluated by measuring tagged samples; the recoveries and relative standard deviations ranged from 75.3% to 103.9% and 2.19% to 4.68%, respectively. The utility of the adsorbent was demonstrated to determine trace fungicides in fresh fruit juice samples.
