Quantum dots/two-dimensional (0D/2D) semiconductor photocatalysts demonstrate wide solar light absorption region and high charge transfer efficiency. However, the relation between the interfacial electric field and the charge transfer during the photocatalytic hydrogen production process is still unclear. Here, we construct NiCo 2 O 4 quantum dots (QDs) and NiCo 2 O 4 nanoparticles (NPs) anchored with 2D g-C 3 N 4 (CN) to form NiCo 2 O 4 -QDs/CN and NiCo 2 O 4 -NPs/CN heterojunctions. The hydrogen production rate of CN loaded with NiCo 2 O 4 QDs is about 3 times higher than that of CN loaded with NiCo 2 O 4 NPs. The electric field intensity at the NiCo 2 O 4 -QDs/CN interface is calculated to be about 15,600 V cm −2 , about 9 times higher than that of NiCo 2 O 4 -NPs/CN, which could effectively drive the electrons of CN to flow toward NiCo 2 O 4 QDs, promoting photocarriers separation and hence greatly improving the photocatalytic performance. This work provides a method to understand the relationship between interfacial electric field strength and photogenerated charges of heterostructure photocatalysts.
High blood pressure is a serious condition that increases the risk of stroke and chronic disease. Amlodipine besylate (ADB), a calcium channel blocker, is employed in the management of hypertension. On this basis, the development of an uncomplicated and stable approach for the detection of ADB is very necessary. NiCo 2 O 4 has a strong structural stability, a large specific surface area, while g-C 3 N 4 has rich surface active sites, based on the advantages of both materials. NiCo 2 O 4 @g-C 3 N 4 nanocomposites were fabricated via a triple-stage hydrothermal synthesis-thermal polymerization-high-temperature calcination method, the material allowed for the creation of an ultrasensitive electrochemical sensor to measure ADB. The redox behavior of ADB at modified electrodes was analyzed using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. Research shows NiCo 2 O 4 @g-C 3 N 4 /GCE composite electrodes are not easily fall off, have good repeatability, high stability, and strong anti-interference. The composite electrode has a highly sensitive signal response to ADB. At optimal parameters, the linear detection range of ADB on the composite electrode is 0.8–70 μM, with a minimum detectable concentration of 0.026 μM. This sensing platform exhibited reliable performance for real-world sample detection. The proposed method establishes an innovative detection platform for ADB, holding great promise for practical applications.
