In this work, g-C 3 N 4 @NiMoO 4 /CoMoO 4 (gCN@NCM) was fabricated by a hydrothermal method . g-C 3 N 4 sheets were embedded in staggered NiMoO 4 /CoMoO 4 rods to form a three-dimensional structure. The prepared gCN@NCM exhibited good electrochemical performance of high specific capacitance (641.5 F/g) and excellent cycle stability (15.79% of capacitance lost after 8000 cycles). The specific capacitance of the gCN@NCM//active carbon (AC) device got 30% enhanced at the first 2000 cycles. Moreover, 110% of the original specific capacitance was still maintained after 10,000 cycles. These results indicate that the g-C 3 N 4 @NiMoO 4 /CoMoO 4 has great potential in supercapacitors .

The NiMoO 4 /CoMoO 4 nanorod arrays wrapped by Ni-Co-S nanosheets were successfully grown on the surface of carbon cloth (NCMOS@CC) by combining of hydrothermal and electrochemical deposition methods. And the as-prepared NCMOS@CC showed good flexibility. The obtained NCMOS@CC as electrode materials were tested in a three-electrode system, showing a pretty good specific capacitance of 778.1 F g −1 at a current density of 0.5 A g −1 and excellent rate capability using 1 M KOH as the electrolyte. The flexible asymmetric supercapacitors (FASCs) were further fabricated using NCMOS@CC as the positive electrode and activated carbon@carbon cloth (AC@CC) as the negative electrode. The fabricated FASCs exhibited a safe working range with a potential window of 0–1.6 V with a maximum energy density of 33.1 Wh Kg −1 at 0.25 A g −1 and maximum power density of 3195 W kg −1 at 4 A g −1 . The fabricated FASCs even bent at different angles still showed good flexibility and stable electrochemical properties . These performances enable the NCMOS@CC to be one of the potential flexible electrodes for using in flexible energy storage devices.

Fe2TiO5, a promising photoanode material for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting, is limited by its poor conductivity and short carrier diffusion length. Herein, a novel Fe2TiO5 nanorod photoanode coated with a cocatalyst NiMoO4/CoMoO4 has been designed for efficient PEC water splitting. The Fe2TiO5/NiMoO4/CoMoO4 photoanode shows a photocurrent density of 1.67 mA cm−2 at 1.23 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) under an irradiation of 100 mW cm−2, which is 2.25 times that of Fe2TiO5 nanorods (0.74 mA cm−2) at 1.23 V versus RHE. And the onset potential of Fe2TiO5/NiMoO4/CoMoO4 illustrates a 247 mV cathodic shift from that of the Fe2TiO5 nanorod photoanode. Moreover, Fe2TiO5/NiMoO4/CoMoO4 exhibits excellent stability at 1.23 V versus RHE under 2 h illumination. Further investigation indicates that NiMoO4/CoMoO4 modifies the surface states of Fe2TiO5 nanorods and effectively promotes the reaction kinetics at the semiconductor/electrolyte interface. This work emphasizes that the design of a nanorod structure and the loading of a cocatalyst provide a novel strategy for achieving excellent PEC performance.
