We report the reversible conductivity and morphology modulation of PEDOT:PSS composites based on pH. Through studying effects of pH on the morphology and conductivity of PEDOT:PSS composites, it was found that different pH of PEDOT:PSS composites solution will result in different morphology of PEDOT:PSS composites film . At the same time, conductivity of the film also changed accordingly. With the increase of pH from 3 to 11, the microstructure of PEDOT:PSS film reversibly changed from a continuous network to non-continuous clusters, and the corresponding conductivity decreased from 0.62 S/cm to 0.42 S/cm. Furthermore, the mechanism was innovatively investigated by Raman spectra , along with UV–Vis spectra and SEM .
Graphene oxide/ carbon nanotubes (GO/CNTs) aerogels were prepared by adjusting the proportion of GO and CNTs, the corresponding reduced graphene oxide/CNTs (rGO/CNTs) aerogels were obtained by thermal reduction. Then, poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): polystyrene sulfonic acid (PEDOT: PSS) was compounded with rGO/CNTs aerogels at a mass ratio of 1:1 to prepare rGO/CNTs/PEDOT: PSS (GCP) composites. Structural analyses revealed the strong π-π interaction between rGO/CNTs and PEDOT: PSS, which leads to the formation of ordered regions. Porous structures of rGO/CNTs aerogels act as conductive network skeleton to promote carrier transport in GCP composites, and the electrical conductivity of GCP composites improves effectively. The optimal electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of GCP5 were 1788.11 S cm −1 and 15.87 μV K −1 respectively. The maximum power factor and ZT merit of GCP5 achieved to 45.03 μW m −1 K −2 and 2.65 × 10 −2 at room temperature, which was almost 43 and 17 times than that of PEDOT: PSS.
Skin-like pressure- and temperature-sensing capabilities are two important indicators for artificial human skins and flexible wearable sensors . However, artifact interference between measured signals has always been the technical difficulty in realizing multi-parameter real-time and highly sensitive monitoring. Herein, a stretchable and flexible pressure-temperature sensitive device based on 3D tubular graphene sponge/PEDOT:PSS composite is designed and fabricated. The hybrid Ag NWs/CNTs composite based embedded stretchable electrodes is selected as the signal transmission lines, which had the ability to resist tensile strain failure. The pressure-resistance module and the temperature-voltage module exhibits distinguishable features of detecting pressure and temperature stimulus simultaneously. The detection sensitivity of pressure and temperature stimuli is 43 kPa −1 and 24.5 μV/K, respectively. Moreover, a 3 × 3 sensor array is demonstrated to verify its monitoring effects in static and dynamic surroundings, illustrating its promising applications, such as health monitoring components, biomimetic soft wearable devices and human-machine interaction.
