Radiation synthesis of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) gel polymers
In this report, the cross-linked Vinyl-POSS gel (CVPG) polymer was firstly synthesized through a facile one-step ionizing radiation method. The structure and composition of the CVPG were characterized, and the results indicated that the CVPG contained a certain amount of unreacted vinyl group which can be further functionalization to tune the properties and expand the application range of the gel polymer.
