High photocatalytic performance of ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3 double shell hollow sphere structure prepared by one-step hydrothermal method
The photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) from a one-step hydrothermal prepared ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3 with a double shell hollow sphere structure has been investigated. It is found that this structure can greatly improve the photocatalytic performance through the formation of S-scheme heterojunction in the interface between ZnGa2O4 and Ga2O3. By optimizing the feed ratio, the maximum degradation rate of RhB is 0.1133 min−1, which is nearly 2 times higher than Ga2O3 monomer photocatalyst, 5 times higher than ZnGa2O4 monomer catalytic performance, and 96 times higher than RhB self-degradation rate. Capture experiments show that h+ plays a key role in the efficient decomposition of RhB reactive groups. This study provides a new idea and a simple preparation method of novel ZnGa2O4/Ga2O3 S-scheme heterojunction for efficient photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants.
