Bromination reactions involving bromine monomers tend to be polybrominated, resulting in poor product selectivity and subsequent separation difficulties. This proposal outlines a multistep cascade for continuous flow synthesis involving photobromination and debromination. The process comprises five units: bromine generation, photobromination, quenching, water/oil separation, and photodebromination. A full-process continuous and efficient synthesis of the trifluorostrolibin intermediate (E)-Methyl-2-(2-broMoMethylphenyl)-2-MethoxyiMinoacetate (MBPA) was achieved. This process converts the byproduct (E)-Methyl-2-(2-dibroMoMethylphenyl)-2-MethoxyiMinoacetate into the target product MBPA. At a total residence time of 12.9 min, the conversion of (E)-Methy-2-(methoxyimino)-2-(o-toly) acetate reached 99.0%, and the total yield of MBPA reached 94.2%. Machine learning and quantum chemical calculations enhance the comprehension of photodebromination mechanisms. Simultaneously, through comprehensive simulations involving sensitivity and scenario analyses, the optimization of photon utilization emerged as a pivotal factor for improving the overall applicability of the production process. This method of synthesizing halogenated products is anticipated to play a crucial role in pharmaceuticals or pesticides.

Environmental pollutants are increasingly recognized as disease modifiers, reshaping host homeostasis and shifting host-pathogen dynamics toward higher infection risk in aquatic ecosystems. Here, we show that the widely used strobilurin fungicide trifloxystrobin (TFS) persistently erodes antiviral competence in fish and increases susceptibility to spring viremia of carp virus (SVCV) by driving dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1)-mediated excessive mitophagy and sustained mitochondrial dysfunction. Using epithelioma papulosum cyprini (EPC) cells and zebrafish as complementary models, we find that environmentally plausible TFS exposures (2.5–25 μg/L) elevate SVCV permissiveness; notably, this phenotype resolves incompletely after chemical withdrawal. Transcriptomics revealed a dose-concordant shift toward stress/innate immune signaling and mitophagy programs, alongside broad repression of proliferative and DNA-repair pathways. Consistently, TFS induces persistent mitochondrial membrane depolarization, promotes fragmentation and ultrastructural deterioration, and increases mitochondria–lysosome coupling. Mechanistically, TFS elevates Drp1 abundance and Ser616 phosphorylation, promotes Drp1 recruitment to mitochondria, and sustains microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3B (LC3B)/lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2 (LAMP2) engagement, accompanied by persistent induction of core autophagy regulators (gabarap, atg5, wipi1, and ambra1) across extended recovery windows. In vivo, prolonged TFS exposure similarly yields durable enhancement of SVCV susceptibility even after long recovery periods, indicating incomplete restoration of host resistance. Together, these findings link a major agricultural fungicide to persistent Drp1-driven mitophagy overactivation and identify long-term antiviral resistance as an ecologically relevant endpoint for pesticide risk assessment and aquatic disease forecasting.

A novel method, ultrasound-assisted surfactant-enhanced emulsification microextraction with solidification of floating organic droplet (UASEME-SFOD), has been developed for the extraction of four strobilurin fungicides (kresoxim-methyl, picoxystrobin, pyraclostrobin and trifloxystrobin) in fruit juices. In the UASEME-SFOD technique, Tween 80 was used as emulsifier, and 1-undecanol was used as extraction solvent without using any organic dispersive solvent. Several parameters that affect the extraction efficiency, such as the kind and volume of extraction solvent, the type and concentration of the surfactant, extraction time, extraction temperature and salt addition were investigated and optimized. Under the optimum extraction condition, the method yields a linear calibration curve in the concentration range from 5 to 10,000 ng mL −1 for the targeted analytes with the correlation coefficient ranging from 0.9991 to 0.9998. The enrichment factors were in the range between 95 and 135, and the limits of detection of the method were 2–4 ng mL −1 . The fruit juice samples were successfully analyzed using the proposed method, and the relative recoveries at fortified levels of 50 and 100 ng mL −1 were in the range of 82.6–97.5%.

Chronic pollution in aquatic ecosystems can lead to many adverse effects, including a greater susceptibility to pathogens among resident biota. Trifloxystrobin (TFS) is a strobilurin fungicide widely used in Asia to control soybean rust. However, it has the potential to enter aquatic ecosystems, where it may impair fish resistance to viral infections. To explore the potential environmental risks of TFS, we characterized the antiviral capacities of fish chronically exposed to TFS and subsequently infected with spring viraemia of carp virus (SVCV). Although TFS exhibited no significant cytotoxicity at the tested environmental concentrations during viral challenge, SVCV replication increased significantly in a time-dependent manner within epithelioma papulosum cyprini (EPC) cells and zebrafish exposed to 25 μg/L TFS. Results showed that the highest viral load was more than 100-fold that of the controls. Intracellular biochemical assays indicated that autophagy was induced by TFS, and associated changes included an increase in autophagosomes, conversion of LC3-II, accumulation of Beclin-1, and degradation of P62 in EPC cells and zebrafish. In addition, TFS markedly decreased the expression and phosphorylation of mTOR, indicating that activation of TFS may be associated with the mTOR-mediated autophagy pathway. This study provides new insights into the mechanism of the immunosuppressive effects of TFS on non-target aquatic hosts and suggests that the existence of TFS in aquatic environments may contribute to outbreaks of viral diseases.

Trifloxystrobin-tebuconazole (TFS-TBZ) is a novel, broad-spectrum fungicide that has been frequently detected in both the environment and agricultural products. However, its adverse effects on aquatic organisms remain unknown. In this study, the adverse effects of ecologically relevant TFS-TBZ concentrations (i.e., 75.0, 112.5, and 150.0 μg/L) on the heart and development of zebrafish were investigated. TFS-TBZ was found to substantially hinder development, inhibit growth, and cause significant abnormity at higher concentrations. Moreover, TFS-TBZ caused severe pericardial edema, heart loop failure, cardiac linearization, and ultra-slow heartbeat, implying that TFS-TBZ might induce congenital heart disease. TFS-TBZ inhibited Notch signaling and increased the intracellular generation of reactive oxygen species, resulting in decreased myocardial cell proliferation and increased apoptosis. The use of sodium valproate and Gadofullerene illustrated the relevance of the Notch signaling system and oxidative stress. Finally, TFS-TBZ exposure conveys severe developmental toxicity to the zebrafish heart. The underlying mechanism is regulation notch mediated‐oxidative stress generation, implying that TFS-TBZ may be potentially hazardous to aquatic organisms in the environment.

Pear powdery mildew (PPM), caused by Phyllactinia pyri , is one of the most serious diseases affecting production in the Hebei pear-growing region of China. Iminoctadine trialbesilate and trifloxystrobin are known to have broad-spectrum activity against a wide range of plant pathogens, including P. pyri . A total of 105 P. pyri strains were isolated from 11 cities in Hebei Province from 2017 to 2019. Iminoctadine trialbesilate and trifloxystrobin significantly inhibited P. pyri growth. Microscopic observation showed that P. pyri mycelia had different degrees of desiccation and that the conidial cell contents had been released. The sensitivities of 60 P. pyri strains to iminoctadine trialbesilate and trifloxystrobin were determined in vitro, and the average EC 50 values were 0.5773 ± 0.0014 and 1.2038 ± 0.0010 μg/ml, respectively. The average EC 50 values for 85 and 75% of the strains with continuous single peak frequency distributions were 0.4534 ± 0.0012 and 0.8124 ± 0.0039 μg/ml, respectively. These data could be used as the baseline sensitivities of P. pyri to these two fungicides. The maximum difference multiples of the sensitivities of P. pyri strains from the different cities to iminoctadine trialbesilate and trifloxystrobin were 13.5- and 17.2-fold, respectively. Cluster analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between P. pyri sensitivity and geographical origin. The field efficacies in controlling PPM were higher than 85%. These findings can improve how we monitor iminoctadine trialbesilate and trifloxystrobin resistance and improve application efficiency.

The present study describes the development of a highly effective approach for determining the residue distribution and dissipation of trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole, and their risk assessment in brown rice, husk, straw, and grain using high-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS). The current study provides considerable novel information regarding the safe utilization of a mixture of trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole in paddy production. The samples demonstrated a range of mean recoveries between 72% and 86%, with a 1.1–9.2% relative standard deviation (RSD). The limits of quantification (LOQ) and half-lives (t1/2) for brown rice, husk, straw, and grain were, respectively, established to be 0.001–0.01 mg/kg and 4.1–7.7 days. The concentrations of terminal residues in the brown rice, husk, straw, and grain were, respectively, found to be 0.02–0.05, 0.03–0.11, 0.02–0.07, and 0.02–0.05 mg/kg after being treated twice at 168.75 g a.i./ha with 21 and 28 days of pre-harvest intervals (PHIs). Trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole presented a non-negligible chronic risk to human subjects, as evidenced by a risk quotient (RQ) value of less than 1.Keywords:trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole;paddy;residue distribution;risk assessment;dissipation dynamics
