天冬酰胺合成酶（AS）是广泛存在于生物体内的一类氨基转移酶，催化谷氨酰胺的氨基向天冬氨酸转移。当植物处于氨毒时天冬酰胺的形成是一种解毒反应。本试剂盒可检测动植物组织、细菌和细胞、血清（浆）样本中天冬酰胺合成酶活性，其原理是 AS 催化 L-天冬酰胺水解成 L-天冬氨酸和氨，利用奈氏试剂检测氨增加的速率，即可计算其酶活性。
Asparagine synthetase (AS) is a widely distributed aminotransferase in living organisms, which catalyzes the transfer of an amino group from glutamine to aspartic acid. The formation of asparagine serves as a detoxification response when plants are exposed to ammonia toxicity. This kit can detect asparagine synthetase activity in animal and plant tissues, bacteria, cells, and serum (plasma) samples. The principle is based on AS catalyzing the hydrolysis of L-asparagine to L-aspartic acid and ammonia. By measuring the rate of ammonia increase using Nessler's reagent, the enzyme activity can be calculated.
