Cytochrome P450 enzymes are a group of enzymes that play an important role in the metabolism of xenobiotics, particularly drugs and toxins. As a key member of the P450 enzyme system, AND (aminopyrine N-demethylase) corresponds to the CYP3A4 isoform and is closely involved in the demethylation of drugs. Determination Principle: AND catalyzes the release of formaldehyde from aminopyrine. The formaldehyde content is determined using the Nash colorimetric method, allowing the calculation of AND activity.
