This product is supplied as a 1% aqueous solution of Acriflavine Hydrochloride, provided in a ready-to-use format. It functions as a nucleic acid intercalating fluorescent probe for the fluorescent labeling of nucleic acids in cellular and tissue specimens. The compound also possesses antimicrobial activity and may be employed in the formulation of selective microbial culture media. Furthermore, it is applicable in mutagenesis screening, antiparasitic in vitro assays, and selected cell and molecular biology investigations.
