概述
由新鲜采集的牛血浆经盐析联合柱层析纯化制得。经 4–20% 梯度凝胶电泳判定，本品为凝血因子 V/Va 及中间活化产物的混合物。牛凝血因子 Va 作为辅因子，与丝氨酸蛋白酶凝血因子 Xa 共同参与凝血酶原的激活。本品可作为凝血酶原酶复合物中 V/Va 的原料。所有牛源原料均取自月龄≤30 个月的美国牛只。

Purified from freshly collected bovine plasma using a combination of salt precipitations and column chromatography. This protein is a mixture of Factor V/Va and intermediate activation products as judged by 4–20% gradient gels. Bovine Factor Va functions as a cofactor with the serine protease Factor Xa in the activation of prothrombin. This protein may be used as a source of V/Va in the prothrombinase complex. All bovine raw material is sourced from U.S. cows ≤ 30 months of age.

生化机理
Central regulator of hemostasis. It serves as a critical cofactor for the prothrombinase activity of factor Xa that results in the activation of prothrombin to thrombin. Activity regulation: Inhibited by SERPINA5.
Post-translational: Thrombin activates factor V proteolytically to the active cofactor, factor Va (formation of a heavy chain at the N-terminus and a light chain at the C-terminus). Sulfation is required for efficient thrombin cleavage and activation and for full procoagulant activity. Activated protein C inactivates factor V and factor Va by proteolytic degradation.
