盐酸胍 (Cas号：50-01-1，分子式：CH₅N₃·HCl，分子量：95.53)是一种强效离液剂，不仅能够促进疏水性分子的溶解性，还能用作蛋白的变性以及后续复性。
高浓度的盐酸胍溶液中，几乎所有蛋白质有序的“二级结构” (由分子间非共价的相互作用如氢键，疏水键所维系)被破坏，肽链得以伸展，三级结构被改变。
盐酸胍可溶解不溶性或者变性蛋白质如包涵体，以及回收周质蛋白。还能用在蛋白展开或者酶复性的第一步，此过程可能需要尿素和 DTT。另外也常用于 RNA 纯化，作用是解离核蛋白和抑制 RNase 活性。

Guanidine hydrochloride (CAS No.: 50-01-1, molecular formula: CH₅N₃·HCl, molecular weight: 95.53) is a potent chaotropic agent that not only promotes the solubility of hydrophobic molecules but also serves as a protein denaturant and for subsequent refolding.
In high-concentration guanidine hydrochloride solutions, the ordered “secondary structure” of almost all proteins (maintained by intermolecular non-covalent interactions such as hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic bonds) is disrupted, the peptide chain becomes extended, and the tertiary structure is altered.
Guanidine hydrochloride can dissolve insoluble or denatured proteins such as inclusion bodies, and can also be used to recover periplasmic proteins. It can also be used in the first step of protein unfolding or enzyme refolding, a process that may require urea and DTT. In addition, it is commonly used in RNA purification, where it dissociates ribonucleoproteins and inhibits RNase activity.
