概述
本品为2-羟丙基甲基纤维素醚，性状为白色或类白色纤维状或颗粒状粉末。在无水乙醇、乙醚或丙酮中几乎不溶:在冷水中溶胀成澄清或微浑浊的胶体溶液。
用途
本品系非离子型醚化纤维素，主要用作薄膜包衣的成膜剂、凝胶剂和软膏的乳化剂、悬浮剂和稳定剂。其浓度一般为2%-10%。在片剂制粒中用作黏合剂的浓度一般为1%-5%。。本品可用作滴眼剂和人造泪液的增稠剂，浓度一般为0.45%-1.0%。还可用来防止聚结粒子或胶凝物的产生，以免生成沉淀。
羟丙甲纤维素在口服和局部用药制剂中应用广泛。低黏度级别的可用作干法或湿法制粒的黏合剂，也可用作薄膜包衣材料或用于制作植物胶囊等。高黏度级别的可用作片剂或胶囊剂的缓控释骨架材料，有延缓药物释放的作用。
This product is 2-hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose ether, which is white or quasi white fibrous or granular powder. It is almost insoluble in absolute ethanol, ether or acetone: it swells into a clear or slightly turbid colloidal solution in cold water.
Purpose
This product is non-ionic etherified cellulose, which is mainly used as film-forming agent for film coating, emulsifier, suspending agent and stabilizer for gels and ointments. Its concentration is generally 2%-10%. The concentration used as adhesive in tablet granulation is generally 1% - 5%.. This product can be used as a thickener for eye drops and artificial tears, and the concentration is generally 0.45% - 1.0%. It can also be used to prevent the generation of coalesced particles or gels to avoid precipitation.
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is widely used in oral and topical preparations. The low viscosity grade can be used as adhesive for dry or wet granulation, film coating material or plant capsules. The high viscosity grade can be used as a slow and controlled release matrix material for tablets or capsules, which has the effect of delaying drug release.
