Lignin Staining Solution (Phloroglucinol Method) is a reagent prepared based on the classic Wiesner staining reaction, commonly used in plant histochemical research. The principle is that under acidic conditions, phloroglucinol in the staining solution specifically reacts with lignin in lignified cell walls (particularly its cinnamaldehyde terminal groups) to form a cherry-red or purplish-red complex, thereby visually indicating the distribution and relative content of lignin.
