摘要
Gas sensing catalyst is the key to proton exchange membrane fuel cell type gas sensor. However, due to the limitations of Pt/C catalyst in an electronic structure and electrochemical stability, the sensing performance of the sensor inconformity the strict performance objectives, and new sensing materials are required. Here we demonstrate that a novel sensing catalyst, Pt/Ti 0.8 Mo 0.2 N, is a highly efficient CO sensing that outperforms the benchmark material Pt/TiN and Pt/C. Pt/Ti 0.8 Mo 0.2 N effectively reduces the cross-sensitivity of interfering gas and greatly improves the CO selectivity, sensitivity and long-term stability of the sensor. Simultaneously, profit by the design of a high humidity cathode sealing chamber, the relative humidity of the environment exhibits a slight impact on the sensor. Furthermore, we confirm that Pt/Ti 0.8 Mo 0.2 N exhibit the best gas sensing performance at low Pt loading of 15 wt%. This discovery points to the strategy of combining low-cost and high-performance electrode catalytic materials for new generation gas sensors.
