摘要
Metal-organic framework (MOF) membranes as anticorrosion coatings are fabricated onto diverse metal surfaces via a versatile approach based on utilization of polydopamine layer, whose strong adhesion and metal-chelating capabilities promote heterogeneous nucleation and growth of MOF membranes. The anticorrosion property of MOF membranes has been achieved owing to characters of well-intergrown crystals, compact structure, hydrophobicity and effective rejection of corrosive ions of MOF membranes, and would be affected by MOF crystal size, membrane thickness and metal substrate. This study may shed some valuable light on the construction of MOF-based protective coatings as qualified and important candidates for high-performance anticorrosion applications.
