摘要

Developing highly efficient and earth-abundant electrocatalysts for water oxidation is highly desirable for sustainable energy conversion applications. In this work, we designed and constructed a novel integrated ternary hybrid composed of CoO/Co 3 O 4 (CoO x ) nanoparticles supported on CoMoO 4 nanorods (CoO x /CoMoO 4 ) through a hydrothermal treatment of ZIF-67/CoMoO 4 followed by a thermal annealing. Benefiting from the enlarged surface areas, more active sites and fast charge transfer kinetics resulted from the interface between CoO x and CMO, the CoO x /CMO electrocatalyst manifests the excellent oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalytic performance with a low overpotential of 253 mV at the current density of 10 mA cm −2 and high long-term durability, which is superior to those of most previously reported Co- or Mo-based oxides electrocatalysts. This work not only provides a highly efficient catalyst for OER but also sheds light on the fabrication of ternary Co-based hybrid electrocatalyst by using ZIF-67 as a precursor.
