PNIPAM-modified silica inverse colloidal crystal membranes

We report a new strategy for the preparation of Inverse colloidal crystal (ICC) membranes by using SiO2 particle. The thermo-reponsive N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) was polymerized to fabricated the smart ICC column. In this contribution, newly developed inverse colloidal crystal membranes that have uniform pores, high porosity. The permeability of the smart micro/nano filtration membrane was carried out by the KCl diffusion tests.
