摘要

A novel organic-inorganic hybrid ceramicizable intumescent coating was developed for enhancing the fire safety of wood. Firstly, an amino resin modified with allyl glycidyl ether (PMFG) was reacted with tannic acid (TA) and phytic acid (PA) to prepare a nitrogen and phosphorus containing organic coating resin (PTP). Simultaneously, glass powders (GPs) or silica (SiO 2 ) were incorporated to form an organic-inorganic hybrid coating, which was then applied to the surface of wood in a specific sequence. When exposed to flames, the coating forms a lava-like ceramic char layer, providing effective protection for wood against flame damage. The results of the fire performance tests showed that the coated wood had excellent fire retardancy (LOI = 49.8) and that the total heat release (THR), total smoke production (TSP) and carbon monoxide production rate (P co ) of the optimal coating were reduced by 78.77 %, 78.88 % and 41.67 % compared to the pure PTP coating. This research provides a cost-effective solution for improving the fire safety of wood in modern construction.
