摘要
A simple two-electrode system was utilized to fabricate a layer of CuCl on the surface of bronze for simulating the "bronze disease". The addition of L-arginine (Arg) reduced the conversion time of the CuCl patina in water from 6 h to 3 h and enhanced the protection efficiency of the transformed patina from 27.9 % to 81.8 %. The alkalinity of Arg and its coordination capacity with Cu 2 + facilitate the transformation of CuCl, modify the transformation mechanism, and alter the morphology and structure of the patina. The immersion experiment further substantiates the stability and self-reinforcing properties of the Arg-transformed patina.
