摘要
N-butanol, due to its poisonous and flammable nature, poses a significant danger to human health, making it crucial to monitor its presence in the environment. In this work, FeVO 4 nanofibers (550) with a one-dimensional (1D) structure have been successfully fabricated through a simple electrospinning combined with calcination at 550 °C. FeVO 4 nanofibers (550) exhibit a triclinic crystal structure and possess a 1D fiber morphology. Electrospun FeVO 4 nanofibers (550) are firstly used in gas sensing and have superior performance as n-butanol gas sensors. At an optimized working temperature of 300 °C, FeVO 4 nanofibers (550) achieve a peak response of 4.05 to 100 ppm n-butanol, short response/recovery time (3 and 14 s), remarkable selectivity for n-butanol gas compared to other tested gases. Mechanism of 1D FeVO 4 nanofibers (550) for enhanced gas sensing properties is clarified. Thus, FeVO 4 nanofibers (550) are a potentially promising substitute to the sensing layer of gas sensors.
