摘要
Polycarbosilane-derived ceramic coatings with superior oxidation resistance enhanced by SiC whisker fillers were prepared on titanium alloys via a dip coating method. The mass gain for coatings with whiskers is −0.22 and 1.725 mg/cm 2 after oxidation at 600 °C and 700 °C for 200 h, respectively, which is lower than the values for coatings without SiC whiskers and in other works. SiC whiskers not only compensate the shrinkage of PCS like particle-shaped fillers, but also inhibit the formation of cracks. In addition, SiC whiskers increase the viscosity of the glass phase and decrease its volatilization, thus improving the oxidation resistance.
