摘要
Efficient interfacial carrier transfer and separation can effectively enhance the photocatalytic performance. Herein, a high-performance g-C 3 N 4 /Ag/BaTiO 3 heterostructure was constructed, which showed promising results in photocatalytic nitrogen fixation and tetracycline degradation. Specifically, Ag-modified tetragonal barium titanate (BaTiO 3 ) nanoparticles were combined with flower-like spherical graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ) to prepare the g-C 3 N 4 /Ag/BaTiO 3 photocatalyst. The Ag nanoparticles were uniformly distributed on BaTiO 3 through photodeposition, which was subsequently loaded onto g-C 3 N 4 , offering abundant surface active sites and a large surface area for enhanced photocatalytic activity. Four types of composite photocatalysts were prepared. The 1:3-g-C 3 N 4 /Ag/BaTiO 3 photocatalytic composite, composed of g-C 3 N 4 and Ag/BaTiO 3 in a 1:3 ratio, achieved an impressive nitrogen fixation rate of 765.85 μmol g −1 h −1 , greatly exceeding that of pure g-C 3 N 4 and BaTiO 3 by factors of 2.14 and 3.88, respectively. Also 1:3-g-C 3 N 4 /Ag/BaTiO 3 had the highest tetracycline degradation rate of 82.7 %. It was found that the significant improvement of photocatalytic efficiency could be attributed to the ultrasonic vibration-induced piezoelectric polarization of BaTiO 3 , which generates an intrapolar electric field. Additionally, the noble metal Ag nanoparticles with surface plasmon resonance (SPR) effect can be used as electronic mediators to promote charge separation and transfer to form all-solid Z-type heterojunctions. This Z-type heterojunction effectively minimizes the recombination of photogenerated charge carriers of electrons and holes. Studies have shown that this composite photocatalyst exhibits excellent performance in both photocatalytic nitrogen fixation and the degradation of organic pollutants, highlighting the great potential of this composite heterojunction in photocatalysis.
