摘要
Developing efficient electrocatalysts is very important for hydrogen production. These catalysts help speed up the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). This is crucial for solving energy shortages and reducing pollution. Herein, Co-doped NiMoO 4 (Co-NiMoO 4 /NF) was successfully prepared by pyrolysis of ZIF-67 via an impregnation-hydrothermal strategy and as a catalyst for oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline solutions. The nanorod-nanosheet structure of Co-NiMoO 4 /NF provides large surface area and abundant active sites, while cobalt doping modulates the electronic structure of NiMoO 4 , which is conducive to the enhancement of the electrochemical activity of catalysts. Density-functional theory calculations further demonstrated that Co-doped Co-NiMoO 4 /NF was more favorable to the adsorption and stabilization of *OOH intermediates than NiMoO 4 /NF. As a result, Co-NiMoO 4 /NF exhibits excellent OER performance with an overpotential of 199 mV at 10 mA cm −2 and remains stable after 200 h of continuous testing under current density conditions of 10 and 500 mA cm −2 . The remarkable electrocatalytic performance of Co-NiMoO 4 /NF highlights its strong potential as an efficient catalyst for sustainable energy conversion systems.
