摘要

Poly (p-dioxane) (PPDO) as an absorbable suture exhibits good flexibility and tensile strength. Loading drugs through the immersion method will accelerate the hydrolysis of PPDO and affect its mechanical properties. In order to improve the drug loading performance of the PPDO suture and maintain its excellent mechanical stability, biodegradable material polylactic acid (PLA) was selected as the coating layer. The PLA fiber membrane with a porous structure was prepared by electrospinning, and nanosilver particles (Ag NPs) were loaded onto the membrane by in situ reaction. Subsequently, PLA@Ag and PPDO fibers were woven together to form PLA@Ag/PPDO composite yarn. The sustained-release ability, mechanical property, antibacterial, and cytotoxicity of the composite wire were further investigated. The results showed that the equilibrium release of Ag NPs from PLA@Ag/PPDO in phosphate buffer saline (PBS) was 0.84 mg/g, and the release equilibrium time was 8 h. The knotting strength of the composite wire increased by 17.8% compared to PPDO without a coating layer. Woven sutures presented significant antibacterial effects against S. aureus . The biocompatibility evaluation of human immortalized keratinocytes (HaCaT) demonstrated its safety in use. This work provides an effective technical method for the preparation of mechanically stable and functionalized absorbable sutures.
