摘要
White light-emitting diodes (wLEDs) face challenges in achieving both high efficiency and color quality due to limitations in conventional phosphor-in-glass (PiG) materials. To address this, we developed an active glass matrix by doping borosilicate glass (B 2 O 3 -SiO 2 -K 2 O-Al 2 O 3 ) with Eu 3+ ions, which serves as both a host and red emitter for Lu 3 Al 5 O 12 : Ce 3+ (LuAG) phosphor. The resulting PiGEuB-1LCe composite shows excellent interfacial stability and retains 94.5 % of its luminescence intensity at 473 K. Under 400 nm excitation, the optimized PiG produces balanced white light with a high color rendering index (CRI) of 80.1 and tunable correlated colour temperature (CCT, 5146 K), demonstrating superior performance for next-generation wLED applications.
