摘要

To explore the application performance of 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium based ionic liquids in absorption heat transformers, this study measured the saturated vapor pressure of 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride and 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methanesulfonate solutions at different concentrations and the specific heat capacity of their pure substances at 25–200 °C. Using the Non-Random Two-Liquid activity coefficient model and enthalpy calculation equations, the measured data were correlated with an absorption heat transformer model. A sensitivity analysis was conducted focusing on condensation temperature, evaporation/generation temperature, and absorption temperature, with a comparison to the traditional LiBr + H 2 O working pair. Results indicated that the LiBr + H 2 O working pair performs well under conventional temperature conditions. However, the ionic liquid working pairs demonstrate a broader viable temperature range, showing stable performance when the condensation temperature is below 81 °C, the evaporation/generation temperature exceeds 108 °C, and the absorption temperature is below 197 °C. Furthermore, comparing the optimal coefficient of performance and exergy performance coefficient data with their corresponding absorption temperatures revealed that 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methanesulfonate + H 2 O working pair exhibits the best performance when the absorption temperature exceeds 195 °C, with the ability to maintain coefficient of performance and exergy coefficient of performance values of 0.21 and 0.37, respectively, even at an absorption temperature of 240 °C. This study accurately measured the thermophysical properties of the 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium based ionic liquid + H 2 O working pairs under high-temperature conditions, providing crucial insights into their application in absorption heat transformers. It outlines their benefits and limitations compared to traditional working pairs, thus paving the way for future research.
