摘要
Faced with the depletion of petroleum resources and environmental challenges, developing renewable, bio-based alternatives to petroleum-derived materials has become increasingly crucial. This study presents an innovative bio-based composite resin (ET-PCT) prepared using epoxidised soybean oil (ESO) as the matrix, combined with tung oil acid-rosin Diels-Alder adduct (TOAR) and phosphorylated chitin (PCT). The material exhibits excellent comprehensive performance due to TOAR's rigid hydrogenated phenanthrene skeleton and dual carboxylate active sites, which form a pre-crosslinked network with ESO. This architecture effectively addresses ESO's incomplete curing and mechanical deficiencies while imparting shape memory functionality and hydrophobicity. PCT significantly enhances interfacial compatibility through phosphate group interactions, achieving dual improvements in mechanical properties (12.49 MPa tensile strength, 101.01 % elongation) and flame retardancy. Vertical combustion and cone calorimetry tests reveal no dripping during combustion, with an extinguishing time of 36 s, and reductions of 38.17 % and 42.83 % in heat release rate (HRR) and toxic gas emissions (SPR), respectively. What is more noteworthy is that ET-PCT achieves degradation rates of 0.083 mg mL −1 h −1 and 0.26 mg mL −1 h −1 in mild alkaline and ethanol solutions, respectively, which have the advantage of being a green degradation process. This bio-based composite shows outstanding balance in mechanical performance, flame retardancy, and environmental compatibility. The successful integration of structural components enables synergistic control of properties, offering new strategies for the development of functional biomaterials. These findings advance the applications of bio-based materials in flame-retardant systems, coatings, and sustainable materials, providing viable alternatives to petroleum-based products.
